Houston Amber Alert: 10-year-old Joshua Marin is missing

The Texas Center for the Missing has issued a Houston Regional Amber Alert for a little boy who hasn't been seen since Sunday.

Police say 10-year-old Joshua Marin was last seen around 5:10 p.m. when he was taken without permission by Nicole Harrison, his mother's ex-girlfriend.

The suspect and child were last seen last night at the Knight’s Inn at 12500 North Freeway in Houston.

Joshua is African American and Hispanic, weighs about 110-120 pounds and is approximately 4 feet 10 inches tall. He has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a blue Texans sweatpants with “Texans” written down the side. He also was wearing brightly colored Nike shoes of yellow, orange and blue.

Harrison, 30, is about 5'6 and weighs around 125 lbs. She has black hair and brown eyes.

There is no vehicle involved. The suspect is known to use Metro buses for transportation.

AMBER Alert Texas Center for the Missing has issued a Houston Regional Amber Alert for the Houston Police Department. Last night at approximately 5:10 PM, 10-year-old Joshua Marin (DOB: 11/30/09) was taken, without, permission, by Nicole Harrison (DOB: 3/15/89), his mother's ex-girlfriend.

Amber Alert discontinued after 10-year-old boy found safe; mother’s ex-girlfriend in custody

Less than an hour after Houston police tweeted about a missing 10-year-old boy they believed was taken by his mother’s ex-girlfriend, police found the boy safe.

“Through investigative means, he and suspect Nicole Harrison were located at an inn on the city’s west side,” police wrote. “Joshua is okay.”

Harrison was taken into custody and will likely face kidnapping charges, police wrote.
