Brian Dos Santos missing from #Estero #Florida since 2006

On December 1, 2006, Bryan was with his mother, who was waiting at a bus stop with a friend. An unknown woman drove up and asked for directions. Bryan's mother, Bryan, and their friend got on the bus, but the woman followed the bus until they got off and asked for help again. The three then got into the woman's car. She eventually let the women go in Estero, Florida and told them they must wait 10 minutes before calling anyone. She then drove away with Bryan.

The abductor is Hispanic, between 28-30 at the time of the abduction, approximately 5'4" and heavyset with black hair. She is believed to have been driving a 1998-2003 black Ford Explorer. There was a diaper bag and car seat in the vehicle, indicating that the abduction had been planned.

Bryan's parents are from Brazil, and paid human traffickers to help them come to the United States. One theory was that Bryan was abducted in retaliation after his parents fell behind on their payments. However, police now believe it may have been a random abduction. A different Fort Meyers woman told police she had been walking with her infant grandchild when she was approached by a woman in a black SUV and asked for directions. Investigators believe the cases are related and the abductor wanted a child of her own.
