Cynthia Sumpter - #missing from #SanJose #California since 1974 (age progressed pic)
Cynthia, whose nickname is Cindy, was last seen playing in the front yard of her home in San Jose, California on April 27, 1974. Her mother realized she was gone around 1:30 pm, searched for about 30 minutes, and called police. A massive search turned up no sign of her. The stepfather of one of Cindy's friends, Antonio Madrid, was investigated for possible involvement in her disappearance. He lived only about 100 yards away. He committed suicide 2 days after her disappearance. Police found a bloodstained shirt and blonde hairs in his car. Another person of interest is Eugene Joseph Wesley, a convicted killer. He was never charged and has since died in prison. Both of Cindy's parents, who had recently divorced and accused each other of hiding her, passed polygraph tests. Sightings of Cindy in a blue car with an unknown blonde male have not been confirmed.
