The King County Medical Examiners Office determined that the remains were human. It is believed that the remains are from a Caucasian male, 30 to 60 years old, and was likely 5-foot-7 to 6-feet tall. No cause of death has been determined at this point. Found with the remains were a pair of tortoise shell glasses, a Swiss Army watch, and an Ortovox shovel, the sheriff’s office said. Also found were a green Jansport backpack, a pair of white Nike high-top sneakers, size 12, and a black leather wallet that contained no identification. Anyone with information on the identity of the remains or items pictured should call the sheriff’s office at 206-296-3311, or send tips to mcutips@kingcounty.gov
