Police are seeking assistance to find a man missing from Liverpool.

Police from Liverpool Local Area Command have been told that while Aakash Kumar is aged 23, he has an intellectual disability which causes him to behave much younger.

Aakash is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, about 190cm tall with a thin build. He has short black hair and slight facial hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and carrying a black and orange "Fit n Fast" backpack.

Aakash was last known to be travelling from Liverpool to the Moss Vale area on Saturday 30 May 2015. His whereabouts are now unknown.

Police and Aakash’s family hold concerns for his welfare due to his intellectual disabilities.

Anyone who believes they may have seen Aakash or has information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Liverpool Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the Crime Stoppers online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
