Law enforcement is searching for Alanda McCoy, who authorities believe was abducted Tuesday night.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) says Alanda, 4, was last seen in the area of the 6000 block of Berry Hill Road in Milton.

Authorities identified 27-year-old William "Bill" Kavchak as the possible abductor, saying Alanda "may be in the company of Kavchak."

The Milton Police Department (MPD) said Alanda's mom knows Kavchak and that they left the Santa Rosa Medical Center at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to go get ice cream and never returned.

Authorities were notified of Alanda's status at 3 a.m. Wednesday, they say.

Kavchak is described as a white male with brown hair and eyes, and is about 6-feet, 175 pounds.

The FDLE says Alanda was last seen wearing a yellow spaghetti-strapped tank top underneath a black t-shirt, a light colored skirt and blue flip flops.

Kavchak could be traveling with Alanda in a 2007 green Mercury Montego with the Florida tag number Y53UNW.

The FDLE says there is a dent on the right front passenger bumper and that the tail lights have plastic covers with silver lines on them.

Anyone with info on Alanda's whereabouts should call the MPD at (850) 983-5423.

4-year-old removed from home by DCF following AMBER Alert incident

The Milton 4-year-old who was reported missing and found on Wednesday was taken from her home and placed with a relative, according to the Milton Police Department (MPD.

"The DCF was immediately involved and they have been looking into it since that time," said Assistant State Attorney James Parker.

The MPD said the child's mother knew Kavchak, who was arrested on drug charges but was cleared of any kidnapping charges on Thursday.

State attorney: Kavchak will not face charges in disappearance of child

Parker tells Channel 3 after Alanda McCoy was returned safely they interviewed her mother and 27-year-old William "Bill" Kavchak. They found that it was all the result of a misunderstanding and miscommunication.

Accoording to a police report, deputies found Alanda in the backseat of the car Kavchak was driving. The report reads, while William was being searched, illegal narcotics were located in the pockets of the shorts he was wearing."

The deputy also wrote, "there were a total of 23 30mg Adderall pills, 13 50mg Tramadol pills, and 1.3 grams of meth. I placed all the pills and paraphernalia into evidence and requested lab work be performed on the meth for confirmation."

As a result of this, Kavchak was arrested Wednesday and is facing 36 counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and one count possession of meth.
