I've been on the island, as a GUEST! haha

I don't see why they couldn't have made it. Yes, it's treacherous but if you know how the tides work, I don't see why it couldn't be done. It's not all that far to shore, really.

DNA didn't match the bones of a pile found on the shore and the mom says cards were sent to her? How can we not believe it's possible?

    Any stories from Brazil?

I think that at least the two brothers survived, maybe all three.

3 Alcatraz inmates survived 1962 escape, swam to land, letter suggests
    By Edmund DeMarche
    January 24th, 2018

A letter emerged Tuesday that was purportedly written by a former inmate at Alcatraz who — along with two others -- managed to escape the island prison only to vanish without a trace.
    [.....]
CBS San Francisco reported that it obtained a letter allegedly written by John Anglin. The letter contains an admission of escape and an explanation of the inmates' fate.
    [.....]
The letter was sent to the San Francisco Police Department’s Richmond station in 2013, the report said. The station said it obtained the letter from an unnamed source.

The FBI says the area at the lower right is believed to be the way the inmates went to launch their raft. (FBI)

Oh! I've never seen this case on a crime forum before. I love the intrigue, ever since I was a young girl! I've visited the island once, just over ten years ago.

I do believe at least one of them lived. I really do!

WEIRD!!!! (Cue "Twilight Zone" Music) I AM WATCHING THE MOVIE RIGHT NOW! SAY WHA?! :thud::popcorn: I've thought about it quite a bit, But don't have a strong Opinion on it. I think it's a Mystery that we will never know the answer
    Just possible Scenarios.
