Missing teen could be 'anywhere' with stepfather wanted on felony warrant in Kentucky

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and Kentucky State Police are searching for a man believed to be with a missing 15-year-old.

According to the NCMEC, 15-year-old Amabel Felix was last seen in March 2018 after she went missing from a Monticello, Kentucky foster home.

Felix is believed to possibly be in the company of 50-year-old Daniel York, stepfather to Felix and her two siblings.

The NCMEC says the case goes back to the November 2016 disappearance of Felix's mother Rosselys Felix, who went missing after moving to Florida from the Dominican Republic with her children.

Following her disappearance, stepfather Daniel York moved the children to Kentucky. The children lived with York until February of this year, when the Department of Family Services took custody of the children.

Amabel went missing in March and "could be anywhere" according to the NCMEC. York may be driving a white Mitsubishi Outlander or a gray Pontiac G6. A felony warrant for his arrest has also been issued in the state of Kentucky.

Missing teen, parents featured on LIVE PD show may have ties to Georgia

The show Live PD on the A&E network featured a missing child named Amabel Felix on Friday night. Law enforcement officials say she is believed to be with her step-father, Daniel York, 50, who has ties to Georgia.

So her mother disappears in Nov 2016 and the stepfather moves the kids from Florida to Kentucky. Hmmm, why? Wonder why the kids were removed from his care? We're missing a lot of pieces to this story or I'm just not seeing it.

Jupiter woman traded accusations with husband before vanishing in 2016

In September 2016, Rosselys Felix Hernandez claimed in court documentsthat her husband was being physically abusive and might be engaged in an inappropriate relationship with her teenage daughter. A Broward County judge granted her request for a temporary restraining order.

The next day, Hernandez requested two restraining orders against York. In one, she claimed her husband had been physically abusive, “shoving” an apple pie in her face in one instance. In the second, Hernandez said her then 13-year-old daughter “has a suspicious inappropriate relationship with Daniel.”

Hernandez said York “seduces” her daughter with “lavish gifts” that he did not give to the other two children and that he engaged in “sexual touching” with the girl.

So mom accuses step-dad of inappropriate relationship with teen daughter. Mom disappears. That's not at all suspicious. Ugh.
That was about a year and a half ago. Apparently he got custody at least for a little while, since he moved the kids to Kentucky. Wonder what happened in February for the kids to be removed from his care? More accusations of an inappropriate relationship? It doesn't sound like he has the other two children right now.

A Mother goes missing in 2016 in Florida and then her 15 year-old daughter vanishes in Kentucky in 2018

According to Palm Beach Sherriff’s Office the last time Rosselys Félix Hernández, 31, was seen was the end of November of 2016 at her Jupiter, Florida home. Rosselys and her children are originally from the Dominican Republic. After arriving in the United States, Rosselys and her family resided in both Hollywood and Jupiter, Florida.

Rosselys vanished leaving behind 3 children, including 15 year-old Amabel, her oldest. The children were being taken care of by their step-father, Daniel York. Shortly after Rosselys vanished, Daniel moved the family to Kentucky.

Daniel and the children lived together in Kentucky until February of 2018 when Family Services took custody of all 3 children.

According to Kentucky State Police, Amabel Félix went missing from her foster home in Monticello, Kentucky on March 15, 2018. It is believed that Amabel may be in the company of 50 year-old Daniel York. Daniel may be driving a White Mitsubishi Outlander or possibly a grayish or dark colored Pontiac G6.

There is a felony warrant out of Kentucky for Daniel.
