    Moore hotel clerk missing

    • Mar 10, 2012
A 30-year-old man was reported missing from his job as a clerk at the Super 8 Motel early Saturday, police said.

Police said Anthony Lennon, 30, is missing in connection with a suspected robbery at the hotel, 1520 N. Moore Avenue.

According to records available on the Oklahoma Supreme Court Network, Lennon has a past history of felony charges and was facing possible revocation on his probation at a March 28 hearing date in Cleveland County.

Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said Moore Police were notified at 3:30 a.m. Saturday when the hotel owner reported a possible robbery. Lennon was gone and so was all of the money out of the register; Lewis said.

“There is somewhat reason to believe that something may have happened,” Lewis said. “The clerk wasn’t just missing with the money.”

While police are withholding some details pending the outcome of the investigation, at this time it is being treated as a robbery and possible abduction, Lewis said.

In 2008 Lennon was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of child pornography. He pled guilty and was convicted on all five charges on Dec. 17, 2010.

On the first count of aggravated possession of child pornography, Lennon served 30 days in the Cleveland County Detention Center with the rest of the 20 year sentence suspended.

On Count 2 — also aggravated possession — he was given a 20 year suspended sentence and two years supervision. On each of the other three counts he received a five year suspended sentence each and court costs, according to court records. Judge Tom Lucas is the judge of record.

In reality, however, Lennon only served 13 days in jail following his sentencing. He was given four days of credit for “good time” and 13 days of credit for working, according to court documents.

On Feb. 1,, 2012, District Attorney Greg Mashburn filed a motion to revoke Lennon’s suspended sentence on the basis of an “untruthful statement” to his probation officer and violation of Rule 8 that the “offender will not possess pornographic materials in any form...” and Rule 10 that he will not have access to “any computer internet site, chat room or electronic communication through the use of a computer...”

A warrant was issued for his arrest at that time and bond set at $20,000. He appeared before the judge on Feb. 9 and posted a reduced bond of $10,000.

The motion to revoke appears to stem from a search of Lennon’s home and a computer confiscated by police in November 2011.

On March 7, 2012 Lennon was charged with an additional eight counts of possession of child pornography with Moore Police as the arresting agency.

Lennon has past recorded addresses in Moore and Norman.

Anyone with information on Lennon’s location is asked to contact the Moore Police Department at 793-5171.

Moore police say motel clerk is missing after possible robbery
    Published: Mon, March 12, 2012 12:00 AM Updated: Mon, March 12, 2012 8:01 PM

MOORE — A motel clerk has been reported missing, and detectives are working his disappearance as a possible robbery and kidnapping, police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said Monday.

Police are looking for Anthony Lennon, 30, of Norman, who faces felony charges in Cleveland County.

Owners of the Super 8 Motel, 1520 N Interstate 35 Road, called police and reported the clerk missing about 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The cash register was empty and there was “some stuff kind of thrown around,” Lewis said.

Lennon has an outstanding $100,000 felony warrant in Cleveland County on possession of child pornography.

Lewis said police don't know if the warrant is related to his disappearance.

“Until he turns up somewhere we can't say he took off on his own,” Lewis said.

Lewis said there are possible indicators someone robbed and kidnapped the clerk.

Police said the search for Lennon was ongoing Monday.

Anyone with information should call Moore police at 793-5171.
