Couple Stunned After They’re Charged With Murder in Death of 10-Month-Old
    August 9, 2018 Michigan

Baby was malnourished & dehydrated because of neglect by adult caregivers who profess to have mistrust of medicine & government.

Seth Welch and Tatiana Fusari, both 27, were charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse Aug. 6 in the death of their 10-month-old daughter, Mary.(WOOD TV8)

In video sermons, the man railed against vaccines, “bad medicine” and doctors whom he deemed to be “priesthoods of the medical cult.”

And he explained why he refused to vaccinate his children, saying: “It didn’t seem smart to me that you would be saving people who weren’t the fittest. If evolution believes in survival of the fittest, well then why are we vaccinating everybody? Shouldn’t we just let the weak die off and let the strong survive?”

On a Facebook page matching his name and likeness, Seth Welch of Michigan spoke of his religious beliefs, which he shared with his wife, Tatiana Fusari. Those beliefs may have contributed to their own child’s death, according to court records.

A woman told police she's a 'thoroughbred, white girl' as she tried to avoid jail for DUI
    Joel Shannon

...During the course of the arrest, Cutshaw gave a number of reasons why she shouldn't be jailed, some of which were used as evidence of her intoxication, according to police records obtained by the Associated Press and the Island Packet.

Among the statements Cutshaw made to police:

    • She is a "very clean, thoroughbred, white girl."
    • She was a cheerleader and in a sorority.
    • Her partner is a police officer.
    • She had good grades, was in the National Honor Society and graduated from a "high accredited university."
At the police station, Cutshaw allegedly used her race and cleanliness as a reason she didn't belong in jail. An officer, who was also white, questioned why that would matter.

Cutshaw reportedly replied, "You're a cop, you should know what that means." She also said the officer should know her meaning "based on the people that come in this room."...

Suspects Pistol-Whip Man In His Garage, Try To Steal His Car But Can’t Drive a Stick Shift

The 33-year-old victim reports that he arrived home at 10 p.m. on August 7th, parked in the garage and opened his car door when he was immediately struck in the head and saw a pistol pointed at him. The two men with guns demanded money and attempted to take the victim’s car, but did not know how to drive one with a manual transmission. They subsequently forced the victim to go with them in their vehicle, which contained three other persons, to an ATM to make a withdrawal, while threatening to kill him and his family. After receiving the victim’s cash, the suspects fled. The victim walked from the ATM to a nearby business and notified police.

Girls throw hot coffee on attempted kidnapper, escape safely

Police said Bruce Hipkins, 22, followed four girls after they left a Speedway gas station Friday night in Millington. The girls ranged in school years from sixth to eighth grade.

Hipkins allegedly grabbed the youngest girl by the head and said she was coming with him. But the other girls came to the rescue — and fought back. They hit him and even threw their hot coffee on him, police said.

MILLINGTON, Mich. (WJRT) -- Bruce Hipkins, a 22-year-old man from Tuscola County in Michigan, is facing charges of kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, assault and battery, and two criminal sexual conduct charges after an incident Friday night.

Police in Millington, Michgian said surveillance cameras caught him watching, and then following four girls as they left a gas station. The four girls are ages 11 to 14.

After they left the gas station, the girls said they noticed Hipkins following them and decided to cross the street in an effort to get away from him.

'Superhero' lawyer who argued cases before Supreme Court slain in North Shore home; suspect in custody after standoff with SWAT team

Stephen Shapiro, known as “a superhero” among his fellow attorneys for his frequent appearances before the U.S. Supreme Court, was shot and killed in a domestic altercation Monday at his Northfield home, police said.

A suspect was taken into custody several hours later after a standoff with a SWAT team, but authorities did not identify him and had announced no charges as of Tuesday night.

Shapiro, 72, was shot just before 7:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Latrobe Avenue, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead of multiple gunshot wounds at 7:55 p.m.

Police tracked a suspect to his apartment in Winnetka near Tower and Green Bay roads. The man barricaded himself inside as up to 90 officers from Winnetka and the Northern Illinois Police Alarm System converged on the scene.

The standoff ended around 10 p.m., when police emerged with a middle-aged man who wore glasses, black shorts and a black shirt. Winnetka police Chief Marc Hornstein said the suspect surrendered after speaking with officers.

Authorities would not say what led to the shooting.

Video Captures Moment Punk Band Lead Singer Attacks Trump-Supporting Fan During Live Show

A Sacramento police investigation is underway after a Trump supporter alleged he was severely beaten by the lead singer of the well-known punk rock band Social Distortion at one of their concerts.

Trump supporter Tim Hildebrand of Galt, California says that when 56-year-old band lead singer Mike Ness went on an anti-Trump rant while performing at the the Ace of Spades club in Midtown Sacramento, the concert attendee responded with a middle finger, and the chaos started from there.

“I stood pretty much with my silent protest with my middle finger up for the next two songs,” Hildebrand told reporters, saying he came to hear music, not a political speech. “I pretty much said I paid for your music, not your politics,” he said.

Cellphone video taken at the early August concert captured the moment the fan says he was brutally beaten when the group's frontman took off his guitar mid-set, jumped into the audience below the stage and began punching the Trump supporter in the face.

After security broke up the fight, Hildebrand said he left with two black eyes, a busted lip, a concussion and a missing tooth, though investigating police have yet to confirm the injuries.

“I wasn’t able to defend myself because people in the crowd were holding me back,” the fan explained.

Social Distortion is known for delivering anti-Trump and anti-Republican tirades at their live shows of late.

The remains of Barnett, who was 23-years-old when he was killed in an east Birmingham apartment, have never been found.

Barnett disappeared on the night of June 3, 1995. He and his girlfriend, Sheila Horton, had split up for the evening to go to separate parties with their friends. When Horton returned to the couple's Southside apartment around 2 a.m. the next morning, Barnett was not there. He never came home, and Horton never heard from him again.

CNN)Police in Washington, D.C., are working to solve the killings of three women whose bodies were discovered earlier this year -- more than a decade after they were reported missing.
Authorities say Jewel King, 48; Verdell Jefferson, 41; and Dorothy Butts, 43, were all murdered -- two dying from gunshot wounds and one from blunt force trauma.
Now investigators are tasked with unraveling the mystery surrounding their deaths and finding their killer or killers. The three women all vanished between April and December 2006.
Their disappearances were treated as missing persons cases, but that began to change in April this year when construction workers at a Washington apartment building called police to say they'd discovered skeletal remains in a crawl space.

Ruptured gas line causes coffee shop blast in South Ga., injuring 3

The explosion in Homerville seriously injured two employees and a customer. Investigators determined a nearby construction crew installing fiber optic cable ruptured an underground gas line, causing natural gas to leak into a sewer line connected to the coffee shop.

“Inside the shop, gas built up in the kitchen area, and there was a spark, resulting in the explosion.”

Two employees at Coffee Corner and a customer were the only people inside the building when it exploded, and they were flown to a hospital in Gainesville, Fla., the AP reported. They suffered “burns and other serious injuries.”

    Look at that building.

This is one of those unfortunate events where there was not criminal intent to cause personal injury or property damage, but it will play out in courts & fault will be determined.
