California man and friend arrested in fatal shooting of Mark Mangaccat, 31, co-worker's fiance

    Pair arrested after man fatally shoots boyfriend of woman who wouldn't date him, authorities say

    Kevin Prasad, 31, who worked at San Francisco International Airport, was charged along with a second man, identified as Donovan Matthew Rivera, 25, of Hayward, Calif.

    Rivera was the getaway driver, but also faces a murder charge because he “was aware” of Prasad’s plan, police said.

    Police said Prasad and Rivera can both possibly face the death penalty, because a “lying in wait” special circumstance was added to the murder charges.

    Daly City Woman Heartbroken After Workplace Crush Turns Deadly

    DALY CITY (KPIX 5) – A Daly City woman who lost her fiancé — the father of her three-year-old daughter — at the hands of an SFO coworker last week told KPIX 5 she had no idea an innocent workplace crush could take such a deadly turn.

    Last week, 31-year-old Mark Mangaccat picked up his fiancée Thandel Seinn from her last shift at San Francisco International Airport. The couple had planned to move to Las Vegas to start a new life together with their child.

    Instead, Mangaccat was fatally shot by a fellow SFO worker who sought a romantic relationship with Seinn, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said Tuesday.
