Missing teen Cayleb Hough last seen in the The Crescent, Highett

    January 15, 2016 2:28pm

THE father of a missing Melbourne teenager says his son is a “fantastic” person whose disappearance is utterly out of character.

Specialist missing persons squad detectives have been called into the case of Cayleb Hough, who was last seen in the early hours of December 20 in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs.

Their efforts are concentrated on finding a blue Ford Falcon XR6, registered SOG 812, which he was seen in the area of The Crescent in Highett.

Father Steve Hough said Cayleb would not willingly miss big family occasions like Christmas.

Ive been worried about this kid :(
I heard his father be interviewed on 3AW not long ago, Caleb comes from a very loving family,
He dad spoke so highly of him my lip dropped as i was listening.

I hope VicPol finding the car helps bring good news this time, although its been a month today.
Does that mean that car has sat there for a month with no-one noticing?

I'd imagine there'd be quite a few CCTV cameras around the vicinity of Southbank.

Hopefully police will be able to pull some info from those and find out how long the car has actually been there.

Yeah it's an odd situation but from what I read recently there seemed to be some conflicting reports as to whether Cayleb was driving or a passenger.

Once police go through the CCTV shots they'll get the correct story.

Addressing the driver of the Ford Falcon and any of Cayleb’s friends who know more than they are saying about his whereabouts, Ms Dehamer said: “If you know where he is and you are reading this, please, I just need to know he is safe. I just need to hear his voice and know he’s OK. Message, if you need help. If he needs money, I’ll send it. I’ll drive anywhere. But please, let us know he is safe. Not knowing is worse.”

“He’s an absolutely beautiful, soft, gentle boy and a hero to his sisters,” Cayleb’s mother Melanie Dahamer says.

If you have seen Cayleb Hough or know where he is please call CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000. You can leave tips anonymously.

Going by the facebook page it seems some of Cayleb's friends may know something about his disappearance but they're just not talking.

IF they are his so called "friends" then they need to start talking to help locate their mate.

The time to start talking is now.....

Anyone with information which could assist with this matter should contact Crime Stoppers anonymously via 1800 333 000 or crimestoppers.com.au 24hrs a day.

    From Caleb's missing person page....

    Description of Disappearance

17-year-old Cayleb Hough climbed into the passenger seat of a bright blue sedan in Melbourne’s southeastern suburbs and simply disappeared.

An older male acquaintance was at the wheel of the distinctive car when the pair drove away from an address near The Crescent in the suburb of Highett at about 6am.

The night before, the man had been at a social gathering attended by Cayleb and his friends at Skye, a suburb some distance away. It is not clear why they had driven to Highett from the party or where they drove next.

What does the driver have to say? Why is it "not clear" yet?
    This is terrible.
