I found a video that was made last year referencing this case quite a bit, as well as discussing the identification of Martha Morrison of Clark County, WA. I found it to be a very interesting video. It seems like the MEO there heavily thinks the recent reconstruction done of Jane Doe is much better and more accurate than the clay model that was created in 2005.

I also discovered that in 1981, a facial reconstruction of this Jane Doe using clay was done as well. I have moved Heaven and Earth trying to find said reconstruction but can't. I may email the Columbian today to see if they can find the article that has it. Would like to add this one in to the case files so that way everyone is aware of the history of this case.

She does. Quite a bit, IMO.
She's a bit older than the estimated age of this Doe though, but those estimates have been off before.

For real! And yeah she is a bit older than what is estimated, but its that brow line that grabbed my attention. it is strikingly similar in my opinion. I would like to find out more about this MP before I submit her though. I think CCSO is getting irritated with me already lol.

Update: So it’s been a while, but I’m cooking something up to reach out to others about this case. I am working with my buddy Steve Johnson of Vancouver, WA on a documentary for her case. Planned to be complete by Spring 2019, we will be doing a narrative on her case, as well as filming some interviews for the project.

One important interview planned is with Starr Lara, the sister of Jamie Grissim. We plan to do our first takes with her on Monday. At this time I want to give her a huge thanks in helping us with this. He sister Jamie was considered to be this Jane Doe; however Dental and DNA have both rebuked this lead. We are also currently reaching out to families of missing loved ones from this era in the 70s to interview them for the documentary.

We also plan to have a re-creation of events that, in our mind, would have happened when Jane Doe was killed; as well as a discovery re-enactment.

We finished our first shots on Thanksgiving Week, which was just to film an ad for the general public; however we are still working on that and may include the shots in our film.

We may also plan to do a private showing before we release it to YouTube and Facebook.

If anyone would like to help us in this project, feel free to message me or respond!

Ann Ellinwood (NAMUS# MP8105) has been ruled out as Fly Creek Jane Doe. Adding to the exclusion list on her website.

The Fly Creek Jane Doe Taskforce in Portland, Oregon has raised the cash reward to $1500...currently the CCSO has not bothered to put a reward up for this case to add to this kicker. With that said, Friday I am going to revisit the area to put flyers up. I have had bad thoughts about putting flyers up in places I'm not familiar with. With that, I am inviting anyone who would like to join me on this and help with the flyers. I know we got some folks from Oregon in here, so would be awesome to get some help!

The flyers are going to reflect the new cash reward and will be placed at numerous businesses in Clark and Cowlitz County. Additionally, I plan to reach out to Ilani Casino in La Center, WA to help. They may be able to put a flyer up to help out throughout the casino. In the meantime, I have some target cities and towns I plan to hit. Hopefully it will be helpful!

Skeletal remains found in 1980 in rural Clark Co. identified, detectives seek more information

The Clark County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help regarding an unsolved homicide from 1980.

With help from Parabon NanoLabs, a DNA technology company in Virginia, detectives were able to identify the remains this year as Sandra "Sandy" Renee Morden, who was born in 1962.

Through an investigation, detectives learned the following:

Sandy and her parents, Andrew "Andy" Bain Morden and Kathryn Irene "Irene" Morden, moved to Portland from the San Francisco Bay area. Andy, who was a Marine Corps veteran of the Korean War era, worked in the maritime trades on tugboats providing service to pulp, paper and logging interests on the Willamette and Columbia Rivers. Andy and Irene were divorced in the early 1970s, with Andy assuming custody of Sandy. Following the divorce, Irene lived separately at various locations in Portland and in the Bay area. Andy and Sandy lived in Portland and Vancouver. Sandy attended Binnesmead Middle School (now Harrison Park Middle School) on SE 87th Avenue in Portland in 1974 and 1975. She attended Gaiser Middle School on NE 99th Street in Vancouver in 1975 and 1976. She attended Wilson High School on SW Vermont Street in Portland in 1976 and 1977. Irene Morden passed away in San Francisco in 1988. Andy Morden retired to Ilwaco, Washington, where he died in 1999.

The sheriff's office said Sandy's whereabouts between May 1977 and February 1980 have yet to be determined.

After identifying the remains as Sandy's, detectives contacted probable family members identified by Parabon.

According to the sheriff's office, one family member told detectives that Sandra had been missing since the 1970's.

The sheriff's office said the family member provided a name, family history, photographs, and a family DNA reference sample which confirmed the relationship between Fly Creek Jane Doe and the Morden family.

Now, detectives would like to hear from friends, acquaintances, neighbors, coworkers, fellow veterans and classmates of Andy, Irene and Sandy Morden, particularly those who interacted with them after 1970.

I didn’t either! My page has been off the charts today and it’s the Laster case all over again! I’ve been overcome with emotion today and am glad that Sandra got her name back.

I’m grieving for the family right now. I hope she gets the justice she deserves, and am glad many years of rumors can finally be put to rest.
