The DNA Doe Project has identified Jane Doe as either Maria White Bateman or Marcia Kaylynn Bateman. There are different sources using different names, so the correct name has not been confirmed yet.

She was 28 years old when she went missing from Oklahoma City, May 1988. Her family filed a missing person's report August the same year, two months before Bateman was discovered as a Jane Doe in Michigan.
