Family offers $25,000 reward for missing Bardstown woman info

Crystal Rogers, 35, of Bardstown has been missing since Friday, July 3, when she was last seen with her boyfriend, Brooks Houck at her family's farm. Mattingly said that Houck has been extremely cooperative with authorities and the investigation.

Family filed a missing persons report around 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, saying that it was uncharacteristic for her not to be in touch. The family has offered a $25,000 cash reward for information that leads to the conclusion of this case.

Family also found Rogers' maroon Chevrolet Impala near mile marker 14 on Bluegrass Pkwy. with a flat tire. Inside the vehicle was her cell phone and purse. The doors were unlocked and the keys still in the car. Police say there was no sign of struggle and, at this time, no sign of foul play. Police are currently searching and processing the car at an undisclosed location.

Roby said that the public is critical in the search process, both for generating tips and supporting the family during this time.

Rogers and Houck have a child together and live in Bardstown. Rogers is a Bardstown native. Family is currently caring for the child.

    Missing mom’s boyfriend: ‘I’m 100% innocent’

“I’ve been 100% completely honest with everyone. I’ve been 100% cooperative in everything that that has been asked of me. I’ve not asked for any kind of legal advice or assistance, an attorney of any nature. I’m 100% completely innocent in this and I have exhausted my efforts with the law enforcement agencies to gather all the facts necessary to allow me to have a clean name again,” Houck added.

Hunt is on in Kentucky to find missing mother of 5

A desperate search has been under way in Kentucky for a mother of five who has been missing for more than a week.

Police found her maroon Chevy Impala with a flat tire abandoned near the Bluegrass Parkway. Inside, police found her purse, keys and cellphone.

"Fox & Friends" reported Sunday that the boyfriend, Brooks Houck, has declared his innocence. He has taken a lie-detector test with inconclusive results.

“We have a 20-mile radius around Bardstown,” Rogers’ great uncle Sam Johnson told the station. “We’re searching every road, every ditch line, wells, sink holes on properties, we’re going after them.”

A total of $71,000 in reward money is being offered for information that leads to her return.

Last person to see missing Nelson Co. woman speaks out

Investigators are following new leads in the disappearance of Crystal Rogers and are searching the property of her boyfriend's mother.

Search intensifies for missing Kentucky mother of five who was last seen alive by her live-in boyfriend

Houck said he wasn't concerned because the couple has had a 'stressed relationship' at times and Crystal would sometimes 'cope or deal' by spending the night at her cousin Sabrina's house.

Police served a search warrant at Houck's family farm on Friday.

The only clue in Roger's disappearance was her maroon Chevy Impala, which was found unlocked and with a flat tire on Bluegrass Parkway on Saturday.

Inside were her keys, purse and uncharged phone.

Search For Missing Mom Crystal Rogers Eerily Similar To Aunt's 1979 Disappearance

The search for a missing mother in Kentucky is eerily similar to the disappearance of her aunt, who vanished nearly 40 years ago.

Rogers' disappearance is not the first time her family has had to search for a missing loved one. In 1979, her aunt, Sherry Ballard Barnes, 19, disappeared from Bardstown. Her vehicle was found submerged in the Ohio River, but investigators found no sign of the teen.

"They searched for years," Rogers' cousin, Andrew Ballard, told The Kentucky Standard. "She was pregnant."

Barnes' remains, along with those of her unborn child, were found buried in a rural area three years after her disappearance.

A $71,000 reward is offered for her return.

Wow, an aunt disappeared in the same town? What are the odds of that?!

Strange that Michael Goetze went missing July 2nd and Crystal went missing July 3rd. What's going on in Kentucky???

"While Houck admitted to Nancy Grace on HLN last week that he and Rogers at times had a turbulent relationship, he insisted he had no involvement whatsoever in her disappearance, adding he is helping "behind the scenes." Houck has also said that it was not unusual for Rogers to spend the night at another family member's home, which is why he was not alarmed when she was not home."

"On Friday, law enforcement served a search warrant on the 240-acre farm Houck's mother owns, but police have not released any information concerning or what they may have found there, or what led them to the property. Houck also says he took a polygraph test, but the results were inconclusive."

:waitasec: Is there still someone "helping behind the scenes" today, or are they handing out water bottles to the searchers? I assume it's as hot there as it is all over the USA today.
