CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — New Hampshire authorities say based on new information, they now consider a Manchester woman who was last seen 35 years ago a missing person.

The attorney general's office says Denise Beaudin's family last saw her on Thanksgiving day in 1981 with her boyfriend, Robert "Bob" Evans, and her infant daughter. When relatives went to visit her at her home a few days later, the couple was gone, and her family assumed they had left town to avoid financial troubles.

Now, authorities say they have received new information, and are asking anyone who knew Beaudin or Evans between 1976 and 1981 to contact police. Beaudin graduated from Goffstown High School in 1976 and later worked at General Cable and the Demers Nursing Home in Manchester.

It is mind boggling that its been 35 years. Her infant daughter is not missing but she had been. I'm not privy to what information made it just now official that she is missing but I am certainly concerned. What could have taken so long?

I am shocked that someone actually wrote this comment. If she hasn't been seen for 35 years, do you think she's missing?

I agree. I had to read the press release twice. It appears Bob was seen at least in 1985 but Denise not since 81. And she is just now being considered a missing person? Her poor daughter! Growing up not knowing where mom is or why she wasn't there. This whole thing is nuts. The way its being put is that its now just being considered suspicious. Ummm I would say its been suspicious since she was first missing. What the heck took so long?

N.H. investigators asking for help in 35-year-old cold case

By Dylan McGuinness GLOBE CORRESPONDENT DECEMBER 28, 2016

Saying that new information has been discovered in the case, New Hampshire law enforcement officials are asking for the public’s help in locating a Manchester woman and her boyfriend who disappeared more than three decades ago.

Denise Beaudin was last seen in 1981 with her boyfriend, Robert “Bob” Evans, and her infant daughter at a Thanksgiving dinner at her family’s home in Goffstown, N.H., according to a statement from New Hampshire Attorney General, Manchester police, and New Hampshire State Police.

About a week after Thanksgiving, Beaudin’s family went to visit her home on Hayward Street in Manchester and found no one there, officials said.

“At the time, Denise and Bob were having financial difficulties, so Denise’s family assumed the couple left to avoid those issues,” the statement said. “Denise has not been seen or heard from since.”

Beaudin was 23 at the time, and her boyfriend was 37. They would be 58 and 72 today.

Beaudin and Evans remain missing, but the daughter was found “years later,” according to Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeffery Strelzin. She is alive and well but does not want her identity revealed.

Strelzin said he couldn’t divulge what new information has surfaced, but he wanted to publicize her case now in case someone is home for the holidays and has potentially helpful information.

I feel it is safe to assume that she isn't missing of her own free will and that he certainly needs to be located to interview him and see what his story is because he most likely could be a suspect in my opinion
