    Flavia Bautista and Francisco Mayoral-Bautista

    Action News

    VINELAND, N.J. - September 26, 2012 --
Police in Vineland, New Jersey say they consider a missing woman to be in danger as they also search for her boyfriend.
Investigators say Flavia Baustista, 19, disappeared after a domestic disturbance between her and her 25-year-old boyfriend, Francisco Mayoral-Bautista (no relation).

Bautista was last seen at 6:30 a.m. Monday at a friend's house in the 500 block of South West Boulevard.

When her friends returned home from work at 4:00 p.m., police say they found a broken window with drops of blood on it. Police say there was also blood inside the living room, leading to the back door of the house.

Investigators believe Bautista did not leave the home voluntarily.

One neighbor said she is worried for Bautista's safety.

"She sometimes came here to use the phone and she came with bruises," said Ramona Vargas, who said those bruises were from her boyfriend.

Vineland Police say they were called to the same house the previous night for a domestic disturbance.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Francisco Mayoral-Bautista on assault charges. As for Bautista's disapperance, police said he is a 'person of interest.'

"We'd like to speak to him but, really, we'd like to make sure she is okay. If we find her and she's okay, maybe she can explain the whole thing and everything can come to light," said Detective Sgt. Christopher Brunetta of the Vineland Police Department.

Mayoral-Bautista may be driving a black 2-door Hyundai Tiburon with North Carolina plates.

Anyone with information can call the Vineland Police Department at 856-691-4111, ext. 4155. You can also text your tip to 847411, keyword VPDTIP or go online toTIP411.com.

Anyone with information about Flavia Bautista or Francisco Mayoral-Bautista is asked to call Vineland police Detecive Antonio Ramos at (856) 691-4111.

VINELAND — Police issued an alert for an endangered missing woman after she vanished Monday under mysterious circumstances, including a trail of blood left at the scene.

Flavia Bautista, 19, who was staying with friends in the 500 block of South West Boulevard, has not been seen since 6:30 a.m. Monday, according to detectives.

Investigators want to speak with Francisco Mayoral-Bautista, 25, who they described as a “person of interest” in the case. He also is wanted on a warrant for a simple assault charge, according to detectives.

Police were called to the Boulevard home about 9:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported disturbance involving Bautista and Mayoral-Bautista. When officers arrived at the scene, Mayoral-Bautista had fled the scene.

Bautista was in the home, police said. When the residents went to work Monday, they locked up the house and instructed Bautista not to open the door to anyone.

Bautista’s friends returned home about 4 p.m. and alerted police after they found a front window was broken out and noticed blood drops on the glass.

Police found a trail of blood droplets inside the house, leading from the living room to the back door, but noted they haven’t yet determined the source of the blood. The scene at the house indicated Bautista “may not have left voluntarily,” police said.

Neither Bautista nor Mayoral-Bautista have been seen since, police said, adding neither has a permanent local address.

Bautista is Hispanic, 5 feet tall and 105 pounds, police said.

Mayoral-Bautista is 5 feet tall and 150 pounds. He possibly is driving a black two-door Hyundai Tiburon with North Carolina plates, police sa

Vineland police still searching for missing woman, 19, boyfriend
    Posted: Wednesday, September 26, 2012 3:21 pm

    By THOMAS BARLAS Staff Writer

VINELAND — City police said Wednesday they continue to search for a 19-year-old local woman listed as an “endangered missing person” since Monday morning.

The search for Flavia Bautista also includes finding her 25-year-old boyfriend, Franciso Mayoral-Bautista, who authorities say remains wanted as a “person of interest” in her disappearance.

Police Lt. Alan Pagnini said the investigation into Bautista’s whereabouts has local authorities believing she is still in the area. He would not elaborate.

However, Bautista’s listing as an “endangered missing person” has other law enforcement agencies in New Jersey aware of her disappearance and on the lookout for the woman, Pagnini said. The city’s Police Department remains the primary investigative agency in the case, he said.

Bautista’s residence is in the 500 block of South West Boulevard. Police said they went to that residence around 9:30 p.m. Sunday in connection with a domestic dispute between Bautista and Mayoral-Bautista.

City police said Bautista was last seen around 6:30 a.m. Monday by other residents of the South West Boulevard home. Those residents returned to the site around 4 p.m. Monday to find a broken front window with blood on the broken glass, they said.

Drops of blood were found inside the home from the living room area to the back door of the house, local authorities said. They said they do not know if the blood belongs to Bautista or Mayoral-Bautista.

However, authorities said their investigation indicates that Bautista likely did not leave her home voluntarily.

Mayoral-Bautista is wanted on a warrant charging him with simple assault in connection with Sunday’s domestic incident.

Police described Bautista as Hispanic, about 5-feet tall and weighing about 105 pounds.

Mayoral-Bautista is described by police as 5-feet tall and weighing around 150 pounds. Mayoral-Bautista may possibly be driving a black, two-door Hyundai Tiburon with North Carolina license plates.

Persons with information about Bautista or Mayoral-Bautista can call Detective Antonio Ramos at 856-691-4111, ext. 4155, or provide information via TIP411.com.

Vineland police again seek public's help in finding woman missing since Sept. 2012
    Posted: Tuesday, January 7, 2014 3:47 pm
    By THOMAS BARLAS Staff Writer

Vineland police are issuing another call for the public’s help in finding a local woman missing since September 2012.

City police now say that Flavia Bautista has a Facebook account that is regularly updated, but “constant attempts to locate and speak” with her were unsuccessful.

“She will not speak with police,” city authorities said.

Bautista, who was 19 when she was first reported missing from the 500 block of South West Boulevard, may be in the company of her boyfriend, Francisco Mayoral-Bautista, police said. Police said in October 2012 that they believe Bautista was being held against her will by Mayoral-Bautista. The two are not related.

Also in October 2012, police said an investigation revealed that the couple’s relationship was “very abusive.” Bautisita may not seek help “for fear of retaliation” from the 25-year-old Mayoral Bautista, they said.

City police said they went to the South West Boulevard home, where Bautista lived with other people, at about 9:30 p.m. Sept. 23 for what they termed a domestic dispute between Bautista and Mayoral-Bautista. Drops of blood were found inside the home from the living room area to the back door of the house, authorities said, adding that they do not know if the blood belonged to Bautista or Mayoral-Bautista.

Anyone with information about Bautista or Mayoral-Bautista can contact Detective Luis Rodriguez at 856-691-4111, ext. 4653, or 856-207-9644. Information can also be provided through TIP411.com.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the couple’s whereabouts. Crime Stoppers can be reached at 856-691-2345.
