Ricky Lee Coulter is also linked in the news, to a man who's been eyeballed for involvement in the Novy Chardon case and also involved in grow-houses for criminal biker gangs up there.

Victim’s last moments alleged by police

    4th Dec,2015

GRISLY details have emerged in the murder case of Gold Coast man Greg Dufty as the person accused of killing him made a failed application for bail.

Aaron Crawford, a cousin of singer Ricki-Lee Coulter, took Mr Dufty to a remote area in the Gold Coast hinterland and killed him because he stole a large amount of cannabis from him, Brisbane Supreme Court has been told.

Details of an alleged eyewitness account of the incident emerged for the first time in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday, when Crawford made a failed bail attempt on charges of murder and misconduct with a corpse.

The court was told Mr Dufty had been running drugs to Darwin for Crawford, and had cannabis from his northern NSW crop to pay another drug debt.

Patea was allegedly saying “where’s the money” while holding a knife to Dufty’s throat.

Crawford was denied bail for a number of reasons, including that he allegedly threatened to kill the key witness and his family.

How many more murders will be connected to the Coulter family????

What gets my goat is, there's always so many comments in the media, etc, saying 'oh of course Ricki Lee and her mother knew nothing/are not connected to the crime".

Well, I call bullsh!t. Based on the pile of bodies that seem to be stacking up around them. As if a little bit of lame celebrity means they can't possibly be involved in anything sordid. Pfffft.

The car young mum Tara Brown was 'beaten to death in' was borrowed by her boyfriend two months earlier and 'used in the murder of an alleged drug mule'

    10 December 2015

The car which young mother Tara Brown was allegedly trapped in before she was bashed to death was used by her accused killer to commit an earlier murder, court documents claim.

Lionel Patea, 24, has been charged with Ms Brown’s murder on September 8.

Police allege Patea, an ex-bikie, rammed Ms Brown’s car off the road before striking her repeatedly with a metal pole while she was still pinned in the car wreckage.

Documents submitted to the Brisbane Supreme Court claim Patea drove Ms Brown’s Mazda to meet his cousin Aaron Crawford, 27, before the pair allegedly killed father-of-two Greg Dufty, The Courier Mail reported.

According to the court documents - which were filed in opposition to a bail application by Crawford - it was Bliss who drove Ms Brown’s car to the meeting with Mr Dufty. Bliss allegedly told police Patea offered him $200 for his help.

‘Bliss stated that he drove a dark Mazda 2 hatchback which belonged to the partner of L. Patea,’ documents submitted to the court said.

‘At the time of leaving the vehicle L Patea said, “Might have to smoke this c***, so just watch over me”’.

Witness tells of bashing over Darwin dope theft

    December 11, 2015 12:30am

FORMER Territorian Greg Dufty was led to a lonely part of the Gold Coast Hinterland and bashed to death as retribution for stealing from his drug-dealer boss, a court has been told.

Aaron Crawford, a cousin of singer Ricki-Lee Coulter, allegedly bought zip ties and other materials from Bunnings before driving Mr Dufty to the Mt Nathan property where at least three other men helped assault the Gold Coast father.

The 27-year-old is alleged to have yelled: “bite the hand that feeds you” during the bashing and later tried to revive the victim, but it was too late.

Details of an alleged eyewitness account of the incident emerged for the first time in the Brisbane Supreme Court on Friday, when Crawford made a failed bail attempt on charges of murder and misconduct with a corpse.

'It's sad, but it is nothing to do with me': Ricki-Lee Coulter says she has no contact with her two cousins - a former porn star and Tara Brown's bikie ex-boyfriend - who are both charged with violent murders

    17 December 2015

Pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter has severed ties with two of her close family members - both of whom are charged with violent murders and facing significant drug-related allegations.

Her cousins Aaron Crawford, 27 and Lionel Patea, 24, are both charged with the murder of missing Queensland pool builder Greg Dufty - who disappeared over four months ago.

Mr Patea is also accused of bludgeoning his ex-partner Tara Brown to death in September.

Coulter told theDaily Telegraph she had not spoken to either cousin since learning of their charges.

'I am not in contact ... It is sad, but it is nothing to do with me,' she said. 'I don't have anything to do with that part of the family.'

Coulter, 30, told the publication that she remained close with the rest of her family.

'I am the closest with my family, my mum and my sisters, that I have ever been,' she said.

Crawford, a former porn star, has been charged with the murder of Queensland pool builder Greg Dufty - whose body has still not been found some four months after he disappeared.

The New Zealander, who has also been charged with misconduct of a corpse, was arrested in Auckland in November and extradited to Brisbane under guard.
