I hope this will be solved sooner than later. Moms boyfriend always seemed suspect to me.

Dunn is back in the Big Country recording a nationally syndicated show called "Crime Watch Daily."
"I think Hailey's killer is going to see her face again six years later," stated Billie Dunn, "and know that we're not stopping." Her lawyer John Young was approached about doing the show and Dunn says she jumped right on board." "Hopefully we can get some answers on why there's not been an arrest and why I don't have Hailey."

There still has only been one suspect named in the case, Shawn Adkins. He is the ex boyfriend of Hailey's mother.

What is Billy saying here? That they didn't release Hailey's remains?

That's what it sounds like to me. Crime Watch Daily is doing a great job with the cases they featured.

Hailey Dunn laid to rest without her father present

(VNO) — According to news reports, Hailey Darlene Dunn, the 13-year-old west Texan whose 2010 disappearance grabbed the hearts of the nation, was finally laid to rest yesterday in a private family ceremony.

A ceremony that did not include her father.

Clinton Dunn, Hailey’s father, learned about her funeral by reading an article on social media. Contrary to what some outlets are reporting, Mr. Dunn was not present at the funeral: he was not invited by his ex-wife, nor was he provided any information about where it was to take place.

All Clint Dunn knows is that his daughter is now buried in a double plot meant for his daughter and ex-wife, in Luling, Texas, just outside of Austin. He learned of that, too, by reading about it on social media.

Hailey Dunn laid to rest six years after disappearance

Hailey Dunn was laid to rest Sunday surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Hailey's mother, Billie Dunn, posted on the "Hope for Hailey" Facebook page that the ceremony refilled an empty space "knowing Hailey is truly home."

"So many tears and yet we were also finally able to laugh and enjoy the precious memories of Hailey together with a lighter heart," Billie wrote.

Notes, pictures, a stuffed animal, and jewelry were sent with her casket.

Hailey's brother, David also pinned the last "Hope for Hailey" ribbon on the flowers on top of her casket.

Why did Billie do that to Clint, I wonder? I thought he was pretty supportive, under the circumstances.

    Hope for Hailey Dunn

    Dearest Hope For Hailey Family,
Hailey was laid to rest surrounded by her family and loved ones. Both sides of the family were notified and those that were able to come were there. Some were unreachable by phone, but fortunately word was passed along though the the Justice of peace and or family lines and of course Facebook.
It was a lovely service, and an empty space in our family's life has been partially refilled knowing Hailey is truly home.
She lays under a beautiful tree in a garden. If butterflies were drawn to any area this would be it.
We sent notes, pictures, a stuffed animal, memorial jewelry and David, Hailey's brother, pinned our last Hope for Hailey ribbon to Hailey's spray of flowers upon her casket.
So many tears and yet we were also finally able to laugh and enjoy the precious memories of Hailey together with a lighter heart.
My God you are so loved my precious baby. I love you Hailey and our fight for Justice continues here while you fly with the angels...and butterflies[IMG]
Thank you all for the love, prayers, flowers and endless support. Our girl finally has peace!
    Billie and family

7 years pass since Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn's disappearance

It's been seven years since 13-year-old Hailey Dunn disappeared without a trace after leaving her Colorado City home to spend the night with a friend.

Over three years later, investigators found her remains at Lake JB Thomas in Scurry County. Her murder remains unsolved to this day, and little information on the investigation has been revealed to the public.

No arrests have been made in connection to Hailey's death. Her mother's ex-boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, remains the only publicly identified suspect.

Hailey's case remains on the Texas Rangers Unsolved Homicides website over two years after it was first featured.

The FBI is offering a $15,000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect responsible for Hailey's murder.

(COLORADO CITY, TX) - Investigators are still considering Shawn Adkins a suspect in the murder of Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, though the are following other leads as well. Adkins was the boyfriend of Hailey's mother she she disappeared in late 2010.

Hailey Dunn was last seen when she was going to stay the night with a friend, according to initial investigation reports which didn't indicate a kidnapping, so no amber alert was issued. Search crews surveyed nearly every inch of her hometown of Colorado City and the surrounding areas for months looking for any sign of the missing teen.

Her family and friends finally got some closure when her remains were found near Lake J.B. Thomas in Scurry County in the spring of 2013, but her killer still remains at large, and investigators are still working to ensure Hailey finally receives the justice she deserves.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and the Texas Rangers recently featured Hailey Dunn as part of their new 'unsolved crimes' program designed generate new leads for cases in the state that have gone cold.

Billie Dunn, Hailey's mother, spoke to BigCountryHomepage after her daughter's case was featured, saying, "I think it was a good idea to get the public's interest again. It's been almost five years. They need to get Hailey. . . or make sure Hailey's face is still being circulated and the story is still being circulated."

DPS says Billie is contacting investigators for updates regularly, but unfortunately, there's still not much information on who killed Hailey Dunn.

Adkins is still a suspect in crime, according to DPS who claims they are investigating other leads as well - tips of all kinds are coming in from individuals claiming to know what really happened to Hailey.

Investigators told KTAB/KRBC that Hailey's remains did provide information that's aiding their search for justice, but that information cannot be released without compromising further investigation.

On the eighth anniversary of Hailey Dunn's disappearance, mysteries linger

The disappearance and death of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn, a middle school student in Colorado City, hits its eighth anniversary this year, with no arrests and no clear resolution in sight.

“Ever since her remains were found in Scurry County, everything was transferred to Scurry County to the Scurry County Sheriff’s office," said Sheriff Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs. "The DA has up there has an investigator that has been working on it some, so as far as any work that’s been on it or anything, everything is referred to them."

Leads do come in on occasion, Toombs said.

"We refer everything to them, as far as that goes," he said.

Scurry County District Attorney Ben Smith said Friday that the case is still is active, but "if tips have been received by law enforcement, they haven’t been substantial enough that they have been passed on to us."

"I"ve frankly not heard of any, whether they were credible or not, in quite some time," Smith said.

Though forward motion on the case has stalled, the case is "still absolutely on our radar," Smith said.

"We have not forgotten about it, and we won't," he said.

Despite the years that have passed between Dunn's disappearance in late December 2010 and now, Toombs still has hope that the case will be solved.

"You look at certain cases that go for years before they’re finally solved, and that’s not good," he said.

But sometimes "new techniques, new things that come up as far as forensics," and sometimes new information can bring hope.

It would mean, he said, that the "person or persons" involved in the death would be brought to justice, meaning "the community and Hailey are going to get justice," Toombs said.

"I think it would mean a lot to everybody," Toombs said. "Just to have that resolution would mean a lot."

I'm pretty patient with law enforcement, but in this case, I'm not so much. I really don't understand why they haven't made any arrests in this case. She was found near the suspect's grandmother's house, for crying out loud.

I drove out to West Texas and helped with one of the searches on this case so it’s very near to my heart. I always thought the cell pings of Adkins might get him. I agree Kimster, it’s very frustrating.

I don't like how the Mother's been acting! And what about the "Bestiality, Child Porn Photos" of Hers?. And then doing this to the "Father" I think She knows way more than she says. Like covering for Ex. Could they have used Her in some SICK "Game"?. It seems to Me, The answers are VERY CLOSE TO HOME! I also find it strange the House was left abandoned.
