Colorado police arrest woman found in dumpster for filing false report

Colorado police have arrested a 31-year-old woman who was found tied up in a small trash dumpster, according to a report.
    [.....]
She also said that she was due in court later that week for a child custody hearing and that said she did not remember anything until she was found, the paper reported.

Vail police said they spent more than 200 hours investigating Hayda’s allegations before determining they were “fictitious,” the paper reported.

    By Carol Robinson

A Birmingham man with arrests on 27 previous charges in just three years is back behind bars after police say [he] smashed in the front door of two Hoover stores and stole several cartons of cigarettes.

Hoover police on Monday announced the arrest of 23-year-old Joshua Magaul Sanders on two counts of third-degree burglary. In 2015, he was arrested after police say he did the exact same thing at the Exxon station on John Hawkins Parkway and in several other municipalities.

In college a friend of mine would flip off cop cars when he saw them. He was exercising his "free speech" rights. That's true, but he only seemed to do it when he was in MY car. We are no longer friends.

He had a sandwich and a wad of cash. He'd just robbed a bank, Salinas cops say
    BY DON SWEENEY
    May 09, 2018 02:44 PM

Something seemed familiar about the man sitting at a table in a Salinas, California, restaurant eating a sandwich and counting a wad of bills, police said.

Then an off-duty police officer who’d stopped at Ike’s Love & Sandwiches for some food on his way home from work Tuesday night recognized Marcus Trujillo, 47, as the suspect in a bank robbery two hours earlier, reported the Salinas Police Department on Facebook.

You'd think they'd teach in "crime school" to never go on a heist on an empty stomach.

Also, don't sit in public counting large amounts of money. If you are going to eat, get it to go, quickly.

They had 71 pounds of meth in the gas tank — and too many stories, Texas cops say

Police in Round Rock, Texas, say they pulled the vehicle over because it was following the car in front of it too closely Saturday along Interstate 35.

But what made Officer Austin Long suspicious was that the driver and the passenger couldn't seem to keep their stories straight about where they were headed, according to a news release.

So he suggested having a drug-sniffing K-9 officer give the car a once-over.
