A portion of her skull. Was it a place where vehicles or ATV's would go? Not having much of her skeleton wouldn't be uncommon in AZ having wild animals but a portion of her skull. Who dumped her? They have to arrest someone one day. Isabel was such a happy looking child.

This was actually, no news though.

N4T Investigators: News conference links cases of two murdered Tucson children

TUCSON - The Tucson Police Department announced Friday, Sept. 14 that they will be holding a news conference Saturday morning at 10 a.m. to announce a major felony indictment.

The Police Chief, Sheriff and County Attorney are all expected to speak.

The News 4 Tucson Investigators have learned that this news conference is much bigger than it sounds.

Multiple sources have told the News 4 Tucson Investigators that this joint news conference has to do with the murders of Isabel Celis and Maribel Gonzales.

Finally! The police dept. kept the location Isabel was found a secret as to where in Pima County. There was a body found in Marana though around that time. Maribel's remains were id'd and Marana was the location she was found. Not much was published about her death & not where she was living which now indicates on the East side of Tucson, near Isabel. Who's it going to be? My list consist of 4 possible POI's.

Come on presser! Now it makes sense why they didn't release Isabel's location. I did read an article from the PI the family hired saying she was found near Marana about a mile away from Maribel, last year. Can't find it now. The cousin JM shipped his Jeep to FL asap and hired top criminal lawyers in Tucson, then left town for FL, apparently within days of Isabel's disappearance according to this article. His family does or did live in Marana btw.

I guess at first I did believe it was a random SO, but started thinking it was someone close to Isabel. So, this really surprised me. Wasn't familiar with Maribel's case. Very glad the guy has been caught. Really a bad dude:

    https://heavy.com/news/2018/09/chri...ted-for-isabel-celis-maribel-gonzales-murder/

Christopher Clements has been indicted in the murders of Maribel Gonzales and Isabel Celis in Arizona. Clements, 36, was already in custody on burglary and fraud charges when he was indicted in the murders of the two young girls. The indictment was handed down on September 14. The indictment was announced to the public in a press conference held by County Attorney Barbara LaWall.

Clements is facing two counts of murder, two counts of kidnapping of a minor and one count of burglary. Those charges are in addition to 14 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, which are related to child pornography, documents say.

    [......]
Online records show that Clements has a lengthy criminal record. Those offenses included multiple sex crimes and crimes against children. Clements has also been in trouble for failure to register as a sex offender. In June 1998, Clements was convicted of two counts of unlawful sexual penetration with a foreign object. Clements was released from prison in 2011.

Clements lived under 2 miles from the Celis family at the time per court records. How did he know which room was Isabel's? Her room wasn't towards the front or back of their house? Knew someone related or nearby? Stalking her? It will probably be a long time if ever that information comes out.

Maybe he knew JM or his family? Wonder if he'd been to the Celis house before. Maybe did some type of work on the house for the Celises.
The Heavy article says he was released from prison sometime in 2011; may have been out only a few months when Isabel went missing. About the fraud case against him (chilling):

ABC Tucson reports that Clements’ fraud charges involved elaborate schemes where he researched his alleged victims. The station says that Clements is accused of targeting a couple in their 80s. He allegedly called their home and told them needed to pick up a package from FedEx that was related to cancer. Clements’ allegedly told them he couldn’t divulge who sent the package. Through researching his victims, Clements’ discovered that their daughter had recently passed away from cancer. When the couple went to retrieve the fake package, their home had been burglarized. The victims said that “thousands of dollars” worth of jewelry was taken.

Clements has a lengthy criminal record including convictions for a child sex crime, identity theft, assault, and failing to register as a sex offender.
He has been held in Maricopa County jail for months where he's currently facing several additional criminal charges for burglary and fraud.

In the burglaries allegedly committed by Clements, prosecutors describe a suspect who worked to research his potential victims and set them up through elaborate schemes.

Clements is accused of targeting an elderly Valley couple, both in their 80s - described in detail in a June court filing:

"(Victims) received a phone call to their home from a blocked number The female caller told them the FedEx had a package for them and they needed to come pick it up...(The victims) asked to speak to a manager, at which time, a male got on the phone and reassured them they both needed to come to FedEx and pick up the package. When asked where the package was from, the male stated he could not divulge that information but that it had something to do with cancer. (One of the victims) has cancer and her daughter recently passed away from cancer, so she and her husband decided they would go to FedEx and pick up the package...When they arrived back at their home, they realized their home had been burglarized when they were gone."

The victims reported thousands of dollars of jewelry were stolen. Phone records and GPS tracking linked the calls to Clements.

In other burglaries, Clements is accused of using the same phone to set up or attempt to set up victims.

Law enforcement sources tell ABC15 that Clements is under investigation for additional burglaries in the Phoenix area and could be charged for those as well.

The sources said there is concern that Clements could have other child victims other than Celis and Gonzalez given his criminal history as a sex offender.

Here are details about Clements's past convictions according to court records obtained by ABC15:
    - On October 20, 1997, Clements was convicted of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree in Multnomah County, OR.
    - On November 5, 2002, Clements committed identity theft in King County, WA.
    - On September 1, 2006, Clements failed to register as a sex offender in Multnomah County, OR.
    - On October 24, 2006, Clements failed to register as a sex offender in Bay County, FL.
    - On July 19, 2002, Clements was convicted of assault in King County, WA
    - On October 5, 2007, was convicted for false reporting to law enforcement in Pima County.

I feel that Christopher tried to burglarize the celis home and didn’t know the way he entered was celis’s bedroom. He probably changed his plan from a robbery to a kidnapping and murder plan. I still don’t know why Isa didn’t scream when he took her.

He kidnapped these two girls for sexual reasons? And then he killed them so he wouldn’t get caught? This guy is sick and cruel!

Of course he was a sex offender. With multiple crimes against children.
We have to have a better way of dealing with child PREDATORS than releasing them and putting their name on a damn website.

FBI in 2017 learned Clements might have information about the death of Celis.

He then provided information to authorities that led to the discovery of Celis' remains, Magnus said. Investigators later discovered additional pieces of evidence, but they did not describe Saturday what they had found.

Clements had already been in a Phoenix-area jail for more than a year facing other charges when the indictment was issued.

Pima County Attorney Barbara LaWall called the identification of Clements as the killer of the girls "long overdue."

he was also charged with burglary, theft and possession or distribution of child pornography in other cases dating from 2012 through 2016.
