Pa. state police seek to ID woman whose remains were found 2 years ago in Delco park

Pennsylvania State Police are hoping a facial reconstruction will help them identify a woman whose remains were found two years ago in Ridley Creek State Park in Delaware County. Hunters discovered the remains along a trail in a wooded area of the park in January 2016.

An anthropological examination indicated that the woman, who was fully clothed in cold-weather attire, was white, 25 to 45 years old and approximately 5-feet, 2-inches to 5-feet, 10-inches tall.

She had three rings: a gold Irish Claddagh ring, a gold ring bearing the initial “C,” and a gold diamond ring, state police said.

Investigators said an isotope analysis indicated that the woman was born and lived in the Northeast United States, with a strong probability she came from Pennsylvania or an adjacent state.

The woman’s cause of death was undetermined.

Anyone with information can call Trooper Andrew Martin at 215-452-5251 or the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers’ toll-free hotline at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (1-800-472-8477). Tipsters can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
