I'm starting to see a lot of people thinking she might have said "a wreck" but as far as I know, the only real damage to the car was the fire damage. A wreck that caused damage bad enough to catch fire would have to be obvious right? That makes no sense, but I wasn't there... so who knows.

In a state of shock, she might have said "a wreck" because she didn't know what was going on. That's what I've always believed, that she was in a state of shock - so who knows what she was thinking or doing. :(

I just watched a 7 Part Series Today in This. On "Oxygen" On Demand. For WHATEVER REASON THEY LEFT OUT EPISODES 2 AND 4. There is Compelling evidence that "Ellis" did this. BUT THEY CANNOT GET PAST THE STATEMENTS SHE SAID "Eric" or "Derrick" did it. And what about the Suspicious Man at the "Scene" told to leave?. AND WAS STATED HE WAS CREEPY. BUT... "Ellis" lied that JE WAS NOT WITH HER THAT NIGHT. HE WAS! They went to "Taco bell" back to his house. Sitting in Her Car. He had been texting Her for 4 Days, wanting Sex. Her response was. "Can't". Did He decide He was going to get it regardless. Maybe "Choking" Her. WAS UNCONSCIOUS. BUT THOUGHT SHE WAS DEAD?! I noticed in a "Clip" of His Interrogation. When they were leaving the Room, He Kind of "Shoved" one of the Officers. The Officer DID NOT DO ANYTHING. YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT!!! Just an Interesting Observation. He is doing 10 Yrs for using a DEAD WOMAN'S "CREDIT CARD" IN LOUISIANA. I HAVE NO IDEA HOW HE GOT THAT CARD. OR WHY HE WASN'T A SUSPECT!!!!! THEY DID NOT SAY! I can't say He Killed "Jessica" for sure. 2 Trials have ended in a "Mistrial", last one was thus last Fall. I will say. HE IS A LOWLIFE.

Jessica Chambers murder: Four years after teen was burned to death, her case still remains a mystery

There continues to be a mystery surrounding the death of 19-year-old Mississippi cheerleader Jessica Chambers, who was burned alive and murdered in 2014. Two trials since then have failed to reach a verdict on the guilt of the primary suspect, 29-year-old Quinton Tellis, with a jury unable to reach a conclusion on either occasion, and her family is still struggling to understand who could have killed her.

People reported that her family is still searching for answers, with her father Ben Chambers previously telling the site, "What could a [small] 19-year-old girl do to make you burn somebody alive? This is beyond murder. This is revengeful, hateful killing."

Jessica Chambers murder suspect, Quinton Tellis, charged with Louisiana woman's murder

Quinton V. Tellis, 30, was booked into Ouachita Correctional Center Tuesday on one count of first-degree murder.

Tellis is facing the 2016 charge after completing a sentence for one count of unauthorized use of a debit card belonging to a Monroe, Louisiana, woman stabbed to death in Aug. 2015.

Ming-Chen Hsiao was a recent graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe at the time of her death and was killed in a small apartment near the campus.

In May 2016, Tellis entered a guilty plea to the card charge in 4th Judicial District Court. He received a 10-year sentence as a habitual offender.

Tellis was shipped to Angola on Oct. 5 following a second mistrial on capital murder charges connected to the burning death of Jessica Chambers, 19, in Panola County, Mississippi, in 2014.

According to the Department of Corrections, Panola County also has a detainer on Tellis.

Tellis was not required to serve his full 10-year sentence due to the accrual of good time — sentence credits that allow inmates to earn time off of their prison term. His full sentence release date was Aug. 19, 2025, but credits moved the date to Feb. 18.

District Attorney Steve Tew said a grand jury will be convened for Tellis to determine final charges. A date for the grand jury proceedings has not been set.

Hsiao died the evening of July 29, 2015, after being stabbed more than 30 times. Police believe superficial cuts and slices were used to inflict pain until she provided her PIN number.

A new detail provided in the warrant states that Tellis' phone records indicate he dialed a four-digit number between two calls made to Chase Bank's 1-800 number.

Jessica Chambers' boyfriend is shot and killed five years after she was burned to death
    • The former boyfriend of Jessica Chambers was found shot to death Friday
    • Travis Sanford, 33, was jailed when Chambers was burned to death in 2014
    • He was shot to death early Friday at a home in Courtland, Mississippi
    • A suspect has been taken into custody, but hasn't been charged yet
    • The suspect in Chambers' death, Quentin Tellis has been tried twice but on both occasions the trial resulted in a hung jury
Someone fatally shot the former boyfriend of a Mississippi woman who was burned to death, and investigators are questioning a suspect.

Travis Sanford, 33, was killed Friday morning at a home in Courtland, Panola County Sheriff Dennis Darby said.

District Attorney John Champion confirmed that he was Jessica Chambers' boyfriend when she was burned to death in Courtland in 2014.

Sanford was incarcerated at the time and was cleared in her death, Darby said.

The suspect in Sanford's death fired a shotgun while running from Sanford's house about 7:30am on Friday morning the Clarion Ledger of Jackson quoted Darby as saying. Sanford's girlfriend and two small children were in the home, he said.

'It's terrible,' Darby said of the shooting. 'We are trying to find out what led to the shooting.'

Darby said the suspect and Sanford had been in the home for a period of time prior to the shooting.

Panola County Coroner Gracie Gulledge said Sanford's body was being sent to the state medical examiner for an autopsy.

Darby said Sanford was ruled out as having any role in Chambers' death.

Chambers, 19, died in a hospital in December 2014, a day after being set on fire in the town of 500 in north Mississippi, about 65 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee.

She was found walking toward first responders with burns over almost her entire body.

She finally died early the next morning in a Memphis hospital, holding her mother's hand.

Two juries have deadlocked on whether to convict a different man, Quinton Tellis, in her death.

Prosecutors had said cellphone evidence showed Tellis and Chambers at similar locations, and they played videotaped interrogations in which Tellis repeatedly changed his story when confronted with new evidence.

Tellis initially denied seeing Chambers late in the day, but later admitted he had been with her up until about an hour before her death.

Defense lawyers said the prosecution timeline was implausible, and presented testimony from 10 firefighters and emergency medical workers who said they heard Chambers say 'Eric' set her on fire.

Mississippi authorities have not decided whether to try Tellis a third time.

He is currently jailed in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, where the prosecutor says a grand jury will consider charges in the death of Ming-Chen Hsiao, a Taiwanese woman fatally stabbed in Monroe in 2015.

Tellis pleaded guilty in 2016 to unauthorized use of her credit card and was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

After finishing his sentence for that crime, he was arrested on a charge of murder in her death.

No decision has been made yet on whether he will face a third trial in Chambers' death.

"Tellis" is already a "Murderer"! Being charged with using a "Murdered in 2015" Woman's Credit Card. But... How about MURDER?! COME ON!!! He must have "found" it. And I am sure it had a note saying he could use it. But He lost the note. Then the Woman was found stabbed to death. Pure coincidence!! Circumstantial evidence says to me HE DID IT!!! One thing is for sure. HE IS AN ABSOLUTE SCUMBAG! The "Boyfriend's" death certainly confuses things. And this case needed NO more of that. "Tellis" has already gotten 2 Mistrials!!!
