Jerice Hunter Sentenced to Life in Prison for Daughter's Murder

Nearly four years after 5-year-old Jhessye Shockley was reported missing, her mother learned her punishment for killing her.

A judge sentenced Jerice Hunter to life in prison, without the possibility of parole.

Judge Rosa Mroz also sentenced Hunter to 20 years in prison for child abuse, to run consecutive to her life sentence.

Arizona woman sentenced in death of 5-year-old daughter whose body was never found

Prosecutors say the 41-year-old Hunter had a friend give her a ride to a neighboring city so she could dump a suitcase containing the body in a trash bin before telling authorities the child was missing.

They say the child was beaten, neglected and confined to a closet before the body was dumped in 2011. She was never found, even though officers picked through 9,500 tons of garbage at landfills.

I do not like what im reading.
Has the mum since revealed where she can be found?
:( That poor babe had a forced smile on her face in her portrait and the artist recaptured it again in the age progression shot.
The forced smile in the top lip i reckon you can pass off as real, but the bottom lip gives it up.

IMHO, she'll never tell LE where Jhessye is.

Yeah I don't think she ever said, or ever will say, anything. But LE seemed to think that she was placed in the trash. They spent 10 weeks searching a landfill, but never found anything.

I think the landfill is a safe bet and it wouldnt surprise me if some of the clothing they discovered and entered into evidence via photos is hers. I was in awe of the child who went to bat for Jhessye and told the truth regardless. I would like Shirley to see some charges and jail time, but that is pure spite on my part. The only time I saw Jerice animated was when she said she wasnt a monster-really? I wonder what her definition of a monster is. If Jhessye wasnt tossed in the garbage, than I pray she will surface soon not for her sake, but for ours. :(

Notorious Arizona cases where no body was ever found
    When: 2011.

    Where: Glendale.

Jerice Hunter reported her 5-year-old daughter, Jhessye Shockley, missing in 2011 after she said she left their Glendale apartment for a brief errand and could not find her when she returned.

Police suspected Hunter killed Jhessye and threw her body in the trash before reporting her missing. Police searched the Butterfield Station Landfill but could not find the child's body.

Hunter in 2015 was sentenced to natural life in prison for first-degree murder.
