IL JOHN KATSILIERIS: Missing from Oak Park, IL - 15 Aug 1985 - Age 17

      • Height and Weight at Time of Disappearance: 6'1; 160 pounds
      • Distinguishing Characteristics: White male. Light brown to brown hair; blue eyes.
      • Clothing: Blue jeans and tennis shoes
      • Dentals: Not available.
      • DNA: Available

    Circumstances of Disappearance
    Katsilieris left his family's home in Illinois on August 15, 1985.
    He left home with his five guitars and is believed to have traveled to California, however, he has not been heard from since he left home.

    • Hair Color: Dark blond or light brown, straight and layered in approximately 4" layers.
    • Eye Color: Blue or gray
    • Distinguishing Marks/Features: Light freckles across the center of face.
    • Dentals: Available.
    • Fingerprints: Available.
    • DNA: Available.
    Clothing & Personal Items
    • Clothing: White JC Penney T-shirt (size 46-48), Gap Pioneer blue jeans (size 32 waist), black cloth army style belt (size 29-30), and white JC Penney jockey shorts.
    • Jewelry: White metal link chain with a black and white metal pendant. A black Casio digital watch.
    • Additional Personal Items: A brown billfold with the initials "PJK." The billfold was empty.
    Case History
    The decedent was found hanging in a room at the La Casita Motel located at 4300 Harry Hines Boulevard in Dallas. His death was ruled a suicide.

    The man, most likely in his twenties, used the name John Smith while checking into the motel. He claimed that he was from New York City and that he had cancer. 1244umtx1.jpg

    This was the very first case that I looked at three years ago. I always assumed that someone had submitted him but nobody did. I think the similarities are striking. Also the initials in the UID's wallet are in the same name as John P. Katsilieris. I finally submitted him.

    It has just got to be him! It all matches up perfectly, looks, initials, timeline.. Why no rule outs yet??
