Keiosha Felix has been missing from Duson, Louisiana since April 30, 2012.

Keiosha was last seen at her aunt's home on April 30, 2012. She was a ward of the state and was living at Maison de Mere, a group home for teen girls who are pregnant or have young children, but she had gotten a weekend pass. Keiosha was initially thought to be a runaway, as her cousin told police she had heard from Keiosha. However, Keiosha left behind her 1-year-old daughter and her loved ones don't believe she would have voluntarily done that.

In July 2012, Keoisha's aunt's boyfriend, Leon Wilkerson, was charged with rape and kidnapping in relation to her disappearance. Her aunt and cousin were also charged with accessory crimes. Later, Wilkerson's brother was also charged with kidnapping. All charges were later dropped and another law enforcement agency took over the case. It was said that most of the evidence against the accused was hearsay.

Investigators later released surveillance images of an unknown man and say he may have information related to Keiosha's disappearance. Investigators believe Keiosha is still alive, but may be in danger. She may be in the Baton Rouge or Lafayette, Louisiana or Houston, Texas areas.

Mystery lingers three years after Duson teenager disappeared; deputy says tips have dried up over the last two years

Keiosha “Red” Felix was 15 years old when she left her aunt’s house on a late spring day in 2012, and she hasn’t been heard from or seen since.

A mother at 14, Keiosha was in state custody and on a weekend pass to visit her paternal aunt, Patricia Andrus, at her Duson home when she disappeared. Her daughter, who is now almost 4 years old, has been in state custody since.

Within a year of Keiosha’s disappearance, nine local, state and federal law enforcement agencies between Louisiana and Texas had dedicated about 2,300 hours of manpower and had explored 27 tips from Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, Florida, Minnesota, Maryland, Oregon and California, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Lewis said she and other family members are always thinking of Keiosha, and they share tales of spotting men resembling the burly mystery man pictured in the AT&T store wearing a bucket hat, white T-shirt and a rosary around his neck.

“I pray that God can give us closure. Give us signs. Give us something,” Lewis said. “Somebody has to know something.”

Law enforcement trying to connect found remains to open missing person’s case

As Lafayette sheriff’s deputies and investigators, along with a local anthropologist work to identify the human remains found on Lajaunie Road Monday evening, we looked into missing persons cases in Acadiana to narrow down the search of whose remains were found.

Keiosha Felix of Duson since 2012, Crystal Grebinger of Lafayette since 2013, and Wade Miller, where little information is known. We know the fourth missing person is 18-year-old Jacqueline Daisy Lynn Landry, who was reported missing on May 25th.

We learned there are two missing persons cases in St. Landry Parish,(Earl Kidder Jr. missing on March 31, 2010, and Sandra Burris missing since July of 2015) and four in Acadia Parish.

As far as the remains on Lajaunie Road are concerned, the sheriff says they have an idea of the approximate age and gender, but it may be weeks before we have an identification.

Photos reissued on anniversary of Keiosha Felix's disappearance

The Center for Missing and Exploited Children rereleased images on social media on the anniversary of missing teen Keiosha Felix's disappearance.

Felix went missing from the Duson area April 30, 2012. She would now be 21 years old. Two years ago, the center released an age-progressed image of what Keiosha would look like at the age of 19.

The center says that Keiosha was last seen on April 30, 2012, and may be in the company of an adult male or an adult female. They say Keiosha may still be in the local area or they may travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or Houston, Texas.

    Keiosha's nickname is Red.
