Larissa Beilby allegedly detained and tortured before her death: court documents

Larissa Beilby died some time between June 22 and 28, and was allegedly detained in a car against her will and tortured before she was killed, court documents reveal.

Detectives have laid 18 additional charges including torture against the man accused of murdering Larissa, whose body was found in a barrel south of Brisbane on Wednesday.

The police bench charge alleged that “between the 22nd day of June 2018 and the 28th day of June 2018 at Buccan or elsewhere in the state of Queensland one Zlatko Sikorsky tortured Larissa Laveen Beilby”.

Mr Sikorsky was initially facing one count each of murder and misconduct with a corpse, and has since been charged with 18 other offences, including torture, deprivation of liberty, possessing weapons and dangerous drugs, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.

His case was briefly mentioned in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday morning, where he was remanded in custody until his next appearance in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court in September.

Brisbane teen Larissa Beilby 'brutally bashed' before death
    6:46 pm Jul 2, 2018

Zlatko Sikorsky's lawyer has appeared in court on his behalf in a brief mention that lasted all of two minutes.

The 34-year-old's case has been adjourned for three-months, to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates court on September 3.

Police will allege Sikorsky detained Ms Beilby against her will and tortured her prior to her death.

9NEWS understands Sikorsky is still not co-operating with police after his arrest at an address on the Sunshine Coast on Saturday.

Sikorsky has hired a lawyer but can’t apply for bail.

Mr Ryan said Sikorsky would plead guilty to 16 other charges, including possession of a loaded handgun, shotgun, and to drugs charges.

Ms Beilby’s body was found inside a barrel on the back of a ute on Wednesday at a gated community in Stapylton on the northern Gold Coast.

The manhunt for Sikorsky led police to a unit on the Sunshine Coast on Friday. After a 28-hour siege, he surrendered without incident on Saturday evening.

Police however say their investigation is very much ongoing with the cause of Larissa's death yet to be determined and question marks over how many people helped Sikorsky.

Zlatko Sikorsky faces additional 16 charges over Larissa Beilby's alleged murder

Sikorsky, 34, is now facing 18 charges following the death of a teenage girl, Larissa Beilby, in Brisbane. He failed to appear in court on Monday morning and the matter was adjourned for committal in Beenleigh magistrates court on 3 September.
Tracy Ann Thomson, 40, from Palmwoods on the Sunshine Coast, has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder. Police allege she helped get Sikorsky to the unit complex where the siege unfolded.

Her case was also mentioned in court on Monday and adjourned to 3 September.

A 38-year-old man, who is also charged with being an accessory, did not have his matter mentioned in court on Monday.
