The Mesa Police Department is investigating the death of 26-year-old Loretta Lynn whose body was found in her residence located in the 4700 block of East El Camino, Mesa.

If you have information as to the person responsible for the murder of Loretta Lynn, please contact the Mesa Police Department or Silent Witness.

This case is one that I think of often. My husband also worked nights and the crime scene is not far from where we lived. Needless to say I was worried. Back then there was little to no crime here. Sad to say, that is no longer the case.

I hope her case will be solved, she deserves justice.

Cold Case #11 on the slide show.

    Cold Case #9

There is very little information on this case after 28 years.

Loretta's case is mentioned in this article:

Lynn’s husband came home from work to discover his wife’s body stabbed multiple times
and their 7-month-old daughter still in her crib unharmed in their residence in the 4700 block of East Camino Circle on June 14, 1988.

It was the second night Lynn’s family had lived in the house, and the first night she stayed
overnight in the home alone as her husband worked the swing shift, Detective Denning said.

DNA decision awaits family in Mesa cold case murder

A Mesa mother, who was pregnant with her second child, was repeatedly stabbed to death in her bedroom 31 years ago. Her name was Loretta Lynn.

Loretta's infant daughter was asleep in another room. Her husband was working a late-night shift at the time.

Now the family has an important decision to make.

The article ends there and there is no video explaining either. No idea what's going on.
