El Paso Sheriff suspects foul play in woman's disappearance

The Gazette of Colorado Springs reports that Lori Lee Layman was last seen April 22. An El Paso county Sheriff's Office spokeswoman says Layman was living out of her car.

Officials found her 2002 Gold Kia Spectra in a condition that has led them to suspect foul play in Layman's disappearance. Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Jacqueline Kirby did not provide details about what caused the concerns.

She's been added to NamUs. Apparently she uses a lot of alias names...

Lori L. McMullen / Lorilee McMullen / Lorilee Sunshine McMullen-Layman / Stacia Arndt / Mary Ellen Carter / Mary A. Schmidt / Sunshine / HottPinkylee

Lori last spoke with her father on 04/30/2015.
The last ping on Lori's cell phone was on 05/11/2015 near N. Nevada Ave in Colorado Springs.
Lori may be living out of her vehicle. Lori has been known to live and travel between Colorado, Idaho, and Washington.
Lori may live a "high risk lifestyle."

Blood Found In Missing Woman's Car

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office has found the car of a missing woman, and they say due to the condition of the vehicle there are "grave concerns" about her safety.

On Monday investigators released where they found the car and what they found inside.

They said Lori Lee Layman's vehicle was discovered abandoned at the Pebble Creek Apartments on 2005 South El Paso Avenue. The vehicle appeared to be emptied and they found blood inside.

The car is described as a 2002 Gold Kia van.

It doesn't say WHO last saw her, but it does say enough to say, the end is not going to be good for the victim.

The car was found 'Cleaned out,'................
She lived a 'very risky life style.'

not good, not good at all.

Case of missing woman in Colorado Springs remains mystery

    Lori Lee Layman always called.

She called while traveling from state to state and living out of her car. She called while trying to keep her life a secret. And she called even while being caught in a lifestyle of drugs and sex escorting.

She never has gone this long without calling.

A month after she went missing in April, Layman's gold 2002 Kia Spectra was found at Pebble Creek Apartments in south Colorado Springs. El Paso County Sheriff's Office investigators said she did not know anyone who lived there. And the vehicle was empty, a shocking discovery since Layman was known to use it as a home.

Blood was in the car, and DNA testing proved that it was Layman's.

In 2015, the Sheriff's Office worked on 68 missing person cases. Layman's is the only one unsolved.

Surely the car was finger printed.
