Marjorie was last seen having a picnic with her family in McKean County, Pennsylvania near White Gravel on May 8, 1938. She separated from her sister, and when her sister returned, Marjorie was gone. The family searched the area to no avail, then called police.

At first, police believed Marjorie wandered into the woods and became lost. A massive search of the area turned up no sign of her.

A taxi driver in Thomas, West Virginia said he saw a girl matching Marjorie's description, crying, in a dark green sedan with a man in his 30s. Authorities were unable to confirm the man or child's identity, but the timeline would have fit.

There are several theories as to what happened to Marjorie, though none have been proven.

There are do many "Scenarios" given in this Case. None of them are good! 1. Falling down a "Mine Shaft". She was picking "Wildflowers". I find this scenario unlikely. 2. Stranger Abducted. Being there were Reports of Her with a Man in a Green Car, asking for a locale of a "Motel and Liquor store" speak of a likely opportunistic and sickening demise. 3. Georgia Tann. Who Kidnapped 1200 Children. 1200! Who could keep track if She was the One of the many. I believe most likely it was scenario 2. And the Perpetrator is definitely long Dead, So unfortunately I don't think we will ever have the answer to what happened to this little Girl. But I think Her Entire life was taken from Her from the beginning.
