In April 2019, the scattered skeletal remains of a woman were found in a wooded area on Mohegan Sun casino land in Uncasville, New London County, Connecticut.

Jane Doe was discovered around 9 a.m. on April 11th, 2019 by public works workers. There is dispute on where Doe was found, however, as some news sources place her discovery as being several miles away from Mohegan Sun while others, such as NAMUS, place her as being found within several hundred feet of one of the casino's parking lots.

She was, according to NAMUS, believed to be between 45 and 65 years old, of Asian descent, and measured at 5 feet tall. Her time of death was believed to have been between 2017-2018. Also on NAMUS is some possibilities for her name, with her first name listed as "Wa", middle name as "L", and surname as "Chan".

Doe's case is being covered by the Mohegan Tribe Police Department, the Connecticut State Police's Major Crime Squad, as well as the New London State Attorney's Office and the State Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

I wonder how they came up with the name possibilities?

I believe that the author theorized that some ID was found, but possibly damaged. Another poster had the idea that something else had her name on it.
It's frustrating to have some possibilities but to be so far away. Nothing on NamUs matches with her yet. :(

Very true! Clues that, so far, lead nowhere is frustrating, for sure!
