Whiteriver, Arizona is on the Apache Reservation.
It's in the eastern part of the state, beautiful area with mountains and pine trees.
I would bet the UID is native probably Apache.

He also had a page at the FBI unidentified persons section. That's been removed too. Going to assume he's been identified.

I'm hoping it's good news and the UID has his name back.

If you find out different, be sure to let us know so we can put the thread back out. But being removed from several sites is usually a good indicator.

I searched around yesterday to try to find an article that had said he had been identified, and couldn't find anything.

I couldn't either, but I did find a couple of articles about his case.
I'll post links here in case anyone is interested in reading.
    Same story at both links.

WHITERIVER, AZ — The FBI wants your help. They are working with the White Mountain Apache Police Department to solve a murder and hope someone knows something about the victim.
The tribe's police and fire department had responded to a fire in an abandoned home on Dec. 1. Once the fire was put out, the body of a dead man was discovered.
The house is known to be frequented by homeless people, according to the bureau.
The FBI says the victim was about 5 feet, 5 inches tall and between 34 and 55 years old.
Anyone with information concerning the identity of this unknown individual is asked to call the FBI's Phoenix Field Office at (623) 466-1999, or the White Mountain Apache Police Department at (928) 338-4942.

PHOENIX — The FBI is asking for the public’s help in identifying the remains of a man who died in a fire earlier this month on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation.
In a press release, FBI officials said the man died in the Dec. 1 fire at an abandoned house just north of the police station in Whiteriver, a Native American community south of Pinetop.

Did they know how he pass? Was it because of the fire? Or was he murder?
