OMG! Did Kids find her?. UGH. She was Killed and transported that far? I am always skeptical on "Trafficking". But it would make sense here.

This case has me wondering. I am familiar with the area and it is highly developed for miles all around. Furthermore, whoever put her their must be familiar with the area. Seems if she was killed in the southern US and the killer travelled up to the location, there would have been thousands of better places along the way to stash the body... fields, woods, abandoned buildings, logging roads etc. would all have been easily seen along the way if they used the interstate system. I suspect that although the maggots were subtropical, they are mistaken in their belief that they were not likely acquired while in the DC area. I believe that she was in fact from the general area. Why choose a school to place the body? Some type of symbolism? They must have understood that a child might find the body and even some of the most depraved individuals would choose against that suggestion unless there was an ulterior motive to it, like she had a child that went to the school at some point, etc....just confusing all around.

The Barnaby Manor Elementary School is located close to the Capital Beltway (I95/I495) and just across the river into Maryland. It's an easy exit/re-entry from the highway. Oxon Hill is a quiet area.

I have a family member who lives at National Harbor in Oxon Hill. Oxon Hill has historically been a very nice suburban area of Washington, DC. with upscale apartments, condos, single family homes, shopping centers, and landscaped lawns. Many Oxon Hill residents are scientists connected to the nearby U.S. Naval Research Laboratory.

I agree. I was just meaning that there isnt any breaks between the suburbs, they run together. There isnt any undeveloped land for several miles. If you were driving up from the southern US, you would find much better places to stash a body if you didnt want it found. The location of where she was found makes me question tje theory she was killed down south and brought up. I live a few miles from oxon hills, i wasnt meaning it wasnt a nice place. Its just not a place to go out of your way to get to to hide a body...unless there is another reason to do so.

That makes me wonder too. Makes me wonder if they were familiar with the area so they felt comfortable leaving her there.

I agree, Kimster. I think the person who buried the victim under the building was familiar with the area. It was a temporary building and I do believe the murderer knew the building was there. Oxon Hill Jane Doe could have very easily arrived in the truck of someone's car after a ride north on I-95.
