Pecos Jane Doe was a young female who was discovered drowned in the swimming pool of a motel in Pecos, Texas in 1966. She checked into the hotel with a male companion, using the name "Mrs. Russell Battuon."

The woman registered as a guest in a hotel in Pecos, Texas alongside a male companion, described as short and slender with blond hair, at an approximate age of 25.

While he slept in the room, the decedent went swimming in the pool, where she was later found drowned by a maid. There was no apparent evidence of foul play, despite the fact that screams were heard at the time preceding her death.

After the discovery, her companion checked out of the hotel and took their registration card, which contained additional identifying information about the pair. It is believe he acted out of fear; he left driving a 1963 Sedan.

Neither the decedent nor her male companion have been conclusively identified. They may have used the name of a Marine stationed in North Carolinian, whose connection to the pair remains unclear.
