    Amber Alert issued for 17-year-old reportedly abducted in Idaho


    An Amber Alert was issued Monday night for a 17-year-old who was last seen outside of work in Idaho.

    Trooper Pedro Pena with the Arizona Department of Public Safety said Sandra Rios-Chavez was abducted by her boyfriend, Miguel Rodriguez-Perez.

    Rodriguez-Perez was driving a 2015 black Audi A4 with Idaho license plate number 2J83179.

    Pena said Rios-Chavez had a protective order against Rodriguez-Perez who allegedly has assaulted her and said he wanted to kill her.

    Rodriguez-Perez may be driving the vehicle through Arizona and reportedly has contacts in Mexico.

    Rios-Chavez was last wearing a Wendy’s uniform

    Anyone who sees them was asked to call 911.


    Amber Alert issued after FBI searches for missing Idaho teen

    Police issued an Amber Alert on Monday because authorities believe an Idaho teenager was abducted from a Wendy’s parking lot in Jerome.

    Sandra Rios-Chavez, 17, might have been forcibly kidnapped by Miguel Rodriguez-Perez, 18, around 6 p.m. Sunday evening, according to an Idaho State Police news release. She was taken from the Wendy’s parking lot at 2816 South Lincoln Ave. in Jerome, according to police.

    Officials say they might be driving toward Las Vegas in a black 2015 Audi A4 with Idaho plate 2J 83179.

    Police say suspect in Idaho Amber Alert abandoned car in Surprise; search underway for victim

    An 18-year-old suspect in an Idaho Amber Alert fled a traffic stop and abandoned his car in Surprise, police said Monday evening.

    Rodriguez-Perez's phone pinged in Kingman on Monday. He has contacts in Surprise and in Mexico, ADOT said.

    The Surprise Police Department was patrolling the area Monday evening and spotted a black 2015 Audi that matched the vehicle description in the Amber Alert.

    The vehicle fled as officers initiated a traffic stop and was found abandoned a short distance away, Surprise police said.

    Officers as of 9 p.m. were searching the area for Rios-Chavez and Rodriguez-Perez.

    Wendy’s worker abducted in Idaho, suspect found in Arizona

    SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say a 17-year-old girl abducted from the Wendy’s restaurant where she worked in Idaho has been found in Arizona along with the man accused of taking her.

    Police tell KNXV-TV 18-year-old Miguel Rodriguez-Perez was taken into custody without incident early Tuesday in Surprise, Arizona. Police say the girl, Sandra Rios-Chavez, appeared unharmed.

    Authorities say Rodriguez-Perez forced Rios-Chavez from the restaurant where she worked in Jerome, Idaho, on Sunday evening. According to an Amber Alert, Rio-Chavez had an order of protection against Rodriguez-Perez because he had threated and assaulted her in the past.

    Police in Surprise spotted his vehicle and chased it. The vehicle was found abandoned. A search led to the girl and the suspect.
