Sara was last seen in Fairmont, North Carolina on February 4, 2015. She left home at 6:30 a.m. to go to work at a Wal-Mart in Pembroke, North Carolina, where she was a cashier and door greeter. She was supposed to clock in at 7:00 a.m., but never arrived and has never been heard from again.

That same day, her vehicle was found locked and abandoned in a wheat field, several feet off the road, with no indications that a struggle had taken place. Although the police didn't learn its location until 12:15 p.m., witnesses reported seeing it parked there as early as 6:45 a.m.

Graham had recently moved from Texas to live with her father and stepmother, both of whom worked for the Robeson County Sheriff's Office. On March 18, six weeks after Graham disappeared, her stepmother was fired from her position in the sheriff's office. She'd worked there for 23 years. Authorities haven't stated the reason for her termination or whether it was related to Graham's disappearance.

    FBI highlights Graham, Patterson cases

Two missing women from Robeson County were among three in North Carolina who were highlighted Friday as part of National Missing Children’s Day.

The Charlotte Division of the FBI asked the public’s help in finding Sara Nicole Graham of Fairmont and Abby Lynn Patterson of Lumberton. The third missing person highlighted is from Shelby, Asha Jaquilla Degree.

Graham, who was 18 years old at the time, was heading to work at the Walmart in Pembroke on Feb. 4, 2015, when she went missing. Her abandoned van was found the same day along East McDonald Road.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 each for information leading to Graham or Patterson.

Testing to determine if skeletal remains belong to former Robeson deputy’s missing daughter

The dental records of a former Robeson County deputy’s daughter who has been missing since 2015 were sent to Raleigh this week to see if remains found earlier this week near Rex are hers.

The skeletal remains were found Tuesday near the CSX railroad tracks off Heritage Drive, about 2½ miles southeast of Lumber Bridge.

Anyone with information is asked to call McLean or Capt. James Obershea at 910-671-3100.

Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins confirmed to CBS 17 that Graham's dental records were sent the state medical examiner's office to see if her remains were found off Heritage Road on Tuesday.

A surveying crew found the remains by railroad tracks. Burnis said a skull found off Heritage Road had braces.

Burnis also confirmed dental records of two other missing people who wore braces were sent to the medical examiner's office to see if they were a match.

The remains on Heritage Road were about 30 miles north of where the van was found in 2015.

Skull found in Robeson County identified as man who fell from train in October

Skeletal remains located along train tracks in Robeson County last week belonged to a man struck and killed by a train in October, according to authorities.

The remains were identified by the North Carolina Medical Examiner’s Office as Varcy Locklear, 24, of Pembroke.

Locklear was found dead on a train track in Enfield on Oct. 30. Authorities said they believe he was a stowaway on the train when he struck a bridge, fell off the train and ended up underneath it.
