Well that's certainly not a picture of a 13-year-old... Wish other photos were available.

I went to school with Sherry and since moved into her old neighborhood. Two years ago I gave Orange County Sherriffs office and NamUs a yearbook picture that would’ve depicted what she looks like at that time she disappeared. Neither have updated her picture. Also she wasn’t reported missing by her family for years. As far as her being near a bar, at the entrance of the neighborhood is a bar it’s on a major hwy...hwy 50 And the side street leads right into the neighborhood with houses on that side street. Hope this helps clear up a few assumptions. When I called the sheriffs dept. they said “oh that’s a cold case” they were not interested in even receiving the yearbook picture And I believe NamUs has to get permission from the police department to change the flyer. If she wasn’t reported missing for years then I think it’s pretty obvious someone in her immediate family had something to do with her disappearance. I cannot say for certain but I believe it was her sister who actually ended up reporting her missing when she grew older.

Hi @Truelove ! Welcome to Crimewatchers and thank you for the comments and clarification!
That's odd that they would not upload the picture you gave them. I know they've accepted yearbook photos before. A better picture may help someone remember seeing something from that day!
It definitely raises some red flags when a 13-year-old child is not reported missing for years... I'm glad that someone did eventually report it.

Thank You "Truelove" for sharing that. And Thank You for trying for her, Because it sure seemed no one else was. And there is NO EXCUSE FOR L.E. TO IGNORE HER THEN AND NOW!!!!! GET ON IT!!!! In this Picture She looks about 3 Yrs old. She looks like a VERY UNHAPPY Child. Not "I'm having a bad Toddler day so don't take my Picture, I need a Nap". Day. It's her "Eyes" their genuinely "Sad". She looks "Broken". Her Family seemingly uninterested in her disappearance says ALOT! And don't bother to buy "School Pictures". I can't imagine what life was like in that House. Her "Sister" when She became an Adult filing a "Missing Person Report". Apparently the "Parents" didn't. Really? So I think there was ALOT of abuse in that House. "Physical, Emotional and probably Sexual".
