none. he was prescribed Valium too, which puts to rest the idea he was an adrenaline junky.

side note: When it comes to (ISIS) terrorism many people believe that terrorists are insane, they are not. Most have higher education degrees, many PhDs, they are not alcoholics (alcohol is haram), they are wealthy and come from wealthy families, they are well travelled and speak several languages, they follow the tenants strictly, they are pillars in their communities, they have families, and seem perfectly normal. They carry out terrorism because of an ideology.

The array of guns found in the Mandalay Bay was not something that a gun runner or seller would have. (Paddock was rumored to have been caught in a gun deal gone bad). The weapons are more like from gun shows and not of any superior quality or quantity.

What still hasn't been answered is the report on scanner that there was an IED. Sheriff Joe quickly dismissed the IED in a presser, saying no IED was found... but that's all he said, like wasn't found in the toilet? or concert?

Maybe he in his own reclusive world got po'd when he had to pay for his room at Mandalay? It could be a short fuse also.
This guy was holding a lot in obviously.

Unless more people that know him steps up to say more, I think he was very seperated in the real world. I don't see how anyone can sit in a casino with all that ding dinging going on for 8 to 14 hours a day. One week in Vegas will make you want to get back to nature real quick.

The war between LVPD and Mandalay are due to lawsuits most likely. Hoping Friday they have it all straightened out.

Not holding my breath after watching CA handle the Ghostship deaths.

Oh my goodess, this is CNN reporting. I kind of thought the security guy leaving Nevada was weird with the FBI calling him back. Wow! Red flags are to be followed.

CNN) Breaking News – Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Compos has been arrested accused of being an accomplice and second shooter in the Las Vegas massacre that claimed the lives of 59 people and injured more than 500.

    And this

"According to a senior FBI official, authorities became suspicions by the extreme amount of gunpowder residue found on Campos’ hands and inconsistencies in his timeline of events. “We believe he killed Paddock, shot holes through the door and his own arm to produce physical evidence for his cover story, then went and lay next to the elevator,” the FBI official told CNN."

    Wow. Live Video is everything.

So is Paddock not quilty of this horrible mass murder? Did he take his guns up willingly to show someone or did they find his stach and make him do this? Wow. I thought he could do it. My apologies to the family if he didn't.

You've got to be kidding me. CNN reports this and it's false? This is not something they should be reporting unless they know for sure.

Agree it's fake news. But ... I just wanted to add a grounding to the fake news ...

I'm not one that subscribes to the idea that ALL news is fake. Rather, I subscribe to the idea that Fake News is a very clever way to make money off of natural internet USER ERROR, inexperience, user emotion and trusting human nature.

Have a closer look a the .com on the article of interest here.o_O

This isn't a CNN website. Nor is it cnn's "international" website. cnn-internationaledition.com IS NOT A CNN website.

It's phishing and propaganda-type fake news.

Try this home page link: http://cnn-internationaledition.com/

That link is NOT CNN. Clearly garbage "fake" stories or "news" ... with some actual information we're reading on real news scattered within (just to confuse).

The address cnn-internaionaledition.com is a FAKE SITE. Links from this page - lead to more Phishing.

All CNN on-line news is at the address cnn.com - the web home http://cnn.com (International or otherwise).

Also, try linking on the journalist's name on the fake article. It doesn't take us to any sort of journalist biography - just more pictures w/ links to more FAKE news. (I wonder who the picture of the fake journalist really is. We can bet the picture and the name is both fake. What's that shirt this fake journalist guy is wearing in his photo? What's that goofy school-picture backdrop on his photo? A further google of "David Foster CNN" proves there is no journalist associated with CNN named David Foster.)

Apart from the sheer absurdity of the news claims (this one is a good example of a "news story" that should set off our fake news alarm bells) .... there's many such quick and easy ways to distinguish between FAKE links and real links.

However, now that everyone's linked to these FAKE CNN sites, please go to your browser and quickly clear your cookies to avoid the aggravation of being targeted through cookies for more phishing.

If you originally linked to this fake site via somewhere other than this thread you may want to try to remember how your computer search led them to the site. If you figure out how you were linked to that fake site, maybe share that here. That could give us an idea of how to avoid linking to such sites in the future.

How 'bout we talk about what forces are motivated to create this conspiracy and others in the US? (This one in particular probably is making the fake-news site owner millions in click-bait hits as it spreads around twitter and facebook. )

We've all just contributed to monetizable clicks  to foreign or domestic tricksters who's goal is to make money off folks' irrational fears, hatred, strong need to reinforce biases, lack of curiosity, bubble-worlds, and overwhelming desire to believe in conspiracy theories? The service these tricksters provide is lies-based fact-free source-free entertainment "news", their compensation is clicks and advertising, their marketing channels are google, facebook, twitter, instagram ... ???

I know how I feel about that. So, I decided to take five minutes to call it out in a bit more detail. Maybe this post also belongs on the fake news thread.

    My pleasure Kimster.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes CNN to get that fake site taken down. If they can even do that. GoDaddy holds the domain. So it would be CNN vs GoDaddy. ;) And, as it turns out, google gmail - to break through all the privacy and find the culprit to prosecute.

I wonder how many times a week CNN has to deal with this stuff?

I just did a WHOIS on that site ... and here is the REAL registered owner of that website (someone named Lee Marley out of Sydney Australia - the home website true name is sunday inquirer.com) The cnn-internationaledition dot com name is a "placeholder" dot com that links to the sundayinquirer domain where the original content is built.

Lookie! There's a gmail email we can use to send our complaints. (yeah, sure.)

(CNN)Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock fired special "incendiary" bullets at a 43,000-barrel fuel tank in what investigators believe was an attempt to cause an explosion, two law enforcement sources told CNN.

Those types of rounds, meant to ignite what they hit, were found inside Paddock's room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and near the fuel tank a short distance away on the grounds of McCarran International Airport, the sources said.

Authorities have previously disclosed that Paddock fired at the tank and struck it with two rifle rounds, when he opened fire on the crowd below from his 32nd floor hotel room on October 1. They had not disclosed that he used incendiary rounds to fire at the tank, which contains jet fuel.

The sources, briefed on the investigation but not authorized to speak publicly, said the incendiary rounds were recovered in an area near the tank.

Investigators also recovered tracer rounds from Paddock's room. Those rounds produce a flame when fired and allow the shooter to follow the bullet's path for more precise aim, according to the sources, who requested not to be named because they are not authorized to speak publicly about such details. There is no evidence the tracer rounds were used during the attack, the sources said.

Investigators also found "survival gear" in Paddock's room, including bulletproof vests and a breathing apparatus, the sources said.

“One round penetrated Tank 202, which was partially filled with jet fuel,” the airport said in a statement released last week. “A second round was found lodged within the same tank’s outer steel shell, and did not penetrate. This tank was subsequently evaluated by experts who found no evidence of smoke nor fire.”

The tank was being drained and will be reinspected and repaired, Jones said.

I think it's possible either way.
The shooter could break down the guns and transport them to the room without drawing attention
but that much ammo is heavy. Especially for an older man who appeared to be somewhat out of shape.

I still have questions and not ruling anything in or out at this point.

^ To me, this suggests those fuel tanks may well have been his primary target - and after he failed to blow them up, Paddock vented on the concert crowd.

It might explain the gap between the shooting of the guard and the rest? Also, why, though LE says they have evidence of an escape plan, he shot himself in the room.. like, the mass shooting was more a frustrated, enraged plan C , after A/ blowing the tanks and B/ having a standoff with the cops.

As he was naturally a plotter and planner, and in my thinking, you'd have to be pretty obsessed to put a plan like this together, could have been that failure to blow the tanks ruined all his obsesssed-on plans and he just lost the plot altogether.

Why else would he have brought a gas mask (and protective gear) up there, if not in expectation of cops using smoke bombs? That to me, says "standoff with LE" was at least factored in.

Also, he apparently stayed in the hotel for free a few days, before getting the larger room where the shooting took place, which he had to pay for.

IMO, he was waiting for that particular room to become available. He'd scoped it out, or knew it well, and his waiting for it, rather than taking any other room, suggests it had to offer him something he wanted... many other rooms faced the direction of the concert, but maybe that one room gave the best vantage point for the tanks.

He brought "incendiary rounds" (not the same as the tracer rounds, which they're saying he didn't actually use) with him.. which he shot at the tanks.

Maybe also that van full of explosives was meant to be used on the tanks as well, but that didn't pan out either - perhaps he couldn't get the van close enough to matter? So he spent a few days stockpiling guns, expecting to blow the tanks with the incendiaries, and prepared for both escape -and- a standoff with LE just in case escape couldn't happen.

I would really like to know what the story was his plane license and why that wasn't renewed, leaving him with two planes and no license to fly.. maybe there's a hint in there as to what got him rolling with all this.
