    Thank you for the thread!
I posted the video in two of the missing persons threads (Charles Horvath & Claudia Lawrence). But it was such a moving performance. I hope they do well on the show.

Missing People Choir dad admits Britain's Got Talent is his 'ultimate chance' to speak about his lost son

Peter Boxell son's mysterious disappearance inspired him to write the song I Miss You to help raise awareness

A father in the Missing People Choir has admitted that Britain’s Got Talent is his "ultimate chance" to speak about his lost son.
Peter Boxell has lived with the agony of not knowing what happened to his football-mad son Lee, who vanished without a trace aged 15.
Britain's Got Talent viewers got a taste of his pain in Saturday's tear-jerking audition , when his song I Miss You was performed for the judges with images of the group's long lost relatives appearing on the big screen behind them.

Peter, 70, has not seen Lee since September 1988, when he disappeared in Sutton, South London, after a football match.
Opening up on Good Morning Britain, he said: "Yes I wrote some lyrics and they're really heartfelt.
"They tell how I feel about my dear son who has been missing since 1988 when he was only 15.
"I enjoy singing those because it gives me the opportunity to express my feelings and my emotions.

    Disappearance of Lee Boxell

The families are hoping that the exposure will help them find new leads into the disappearances of their loved ones and many others.
"It makes me feel really good to sing about my son and get our message across to the viewers," added Peter.
"It's been really hard work but it will be wonderful if just one missing person is found as a result of this."

I am only able to watch the seasons on Youtube - which BGT has put up every year as the contest goes through. They usually have a clip from the weekly auditions out on the Monday after the weekends airing on TV.

This is what the internet said about this years contest:

Series 11 (yes, Eleven), will commence on Saturday, April 15 at 8pm on ITV, so that's Easter Weekend!
If it follows the traditional pattern of BGT series, there will be seven audition episodes every Saturday, followed by a week of live semi-finals and a live grand final in late May/early June.
ITV has kept rather quiet in the teasers thus far, but we do know that the judges were moved to tears from The Missing People Choir, made up of volunteers and people with
missing family members – and they performed a poignant song called 'I Miss You' written by member Peter Boxell about his son Lee, who was just 15 when he went missing in 1988.

Listen to this version of 'I Miss You' on the Missing People Youtube Channel... oh my goodness :bawling:

I have added the pictures of the Missing family members and links to the names in the article below ...

The choir that was born from heartbreak

Formed in 2014, The Missing People Choir is composed of individuals and families of people who have disappeared and is led by the Missing People charity.
    Members of the choir include…

    Denise Horvath-Allan
Denise’s son Charles went missing in 1989 when he was 20.
He was last seen hitch-hiking in Kelowna, a city in British Columbia, Canada.
Denise says her biggest fear is that she will die before she gets any answers.

    Peter Lawrence

His daughter, the chef Claudia Lawrence, vanished in 2009 aged 35 following a day at work.
Police haven’t any significant leads though it is believed she was murdered. Officers have now scaled back their investigations.

    Rachel Edwards
Rachel’s brother Richey Edwards, a guitarist in Welsh rock band the Manic Street Preachers, went missing in 1995 aged 27.
His car was found abandoned near the Severn Bridge and in 2008 he was presumed dead by police.
Rachel has vowed not to give up her search.

    Peter Boxell
Peter’s 15-year-old son Lee went missing in 1988. Peter wrote the BGT song, I Miss You.

    Emma Cullingford
Her mother, Sandra Hall, 57, went missing for a month in 2013 but was found dead near Bognor Regis, West Sussex.
Police said that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. Emma is one of the few members of the choir who has any answers.

    James Hawkins
James is the Missing People choirmaster. After 15 years of working with singers, he has seen first-hand how music can heal.
He leads the group and is responsible for helping Peter Boxell turn his lyrics into a song.

    Pam Sargent
Pam is one of the volunteers at the Missing People Choir. She began her work there after her brother went missing for a year.
    He returned safe and sound.

I'm very proud of them! I wonder if they'll come to the States and perform? If they hit the northwest, maybe we can see them together!

They have made such a difference

So proud of them - for their message and their beautiful voices!
They sang with such passion and love - the song was from the movie GHOST
The audience and the judges loved it.
    Here is the Finals performance:

Congratulations to the Missing People Choir.
@Kimster - I hope they tour, and possibly join up with some other choirs or singers to bring this wonderful message and performance around the world.

Britain's Got Talent: Missing People Choir boy found

A boy whose image was shown during the Missing People Choir's performance in the Britain's Got Talent final has been found.

The 13-year-old, who has not been named, called his mother when he saw his photo.

"He is now home safe and well", the charity said.
