    Vashon Island in Washington

Vashon is a census-designated place in King County, Washington, United States. It covers an island alternately called Vashon Island or Vashon-Maury Island, the largest island in Puget Sound south of Admiralty Inlet.

I'm fairly certain that she was "Dumped" from a "Boat" and probably had become a "Burden" to someone. VERY SAD! "Vashon Island" is just a little over 10,000 Population. And most Commute to "Tacoma and Seattle". It's only a little less than 17 Miles from "Tacoma" and a little less than 18 from "Seattle". But You have to take a "Ferry". So you can bet few will commute for a crappy, Low paying job. 37 Sq. Miles. Alot of it Wooded. And the Houses I have seen are "High End" on the Water. There is a "Specialized Business" on the Island. And I'm sure "fast food" etc. But I think People would know Her if she was local. The estimated date of death is a Year Prior. There are no "Predatory animals" there (in the waters that I could find). Only land. She was floating for a year?! Dosen't seem likely.

Below is an old article, but I wanted to take note of the varying descriptions of this woman's hair color. The Doe Network describes hair color as "white to blond", Namus describes it as "brown", and this article describes it as "bleached blond". Also on a side note, the Doe Network has this case's Namus reference link linked to another Jane Doe.
