    Las Vegas

    disturbing video
(I cannot make the video attach)

A 74-year-old man who was pushed off a Las Vegas public bus -- allegedly by a woman he had told to "be nicer" -- has died from injuries he suffered when he hit the sidewalk, and the woman has been charged with his murder.

Surveillance video released by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department this week captured the scuffle that led to Serge Fournier tumbling from the bus.

The video helped Vegas police identify and arrest suspect Cadesha Michelle Bishop, 25, according to a criminal complaint.

The incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on a Thursday evening in March, as the bus moved through downtown Las Vegas, according to a warrant issued for Bishop.

(making a thread to follow this case thru the legal system. from the video, I think charges are appropriate.)

This is disgusting behavior. No, she probably didn't mean to kill him. But she shoved an elderly man off a bus. And then no one moved to help him!

She's also out on bail. Gross.

According to the arrest report, witnesses saw Bishop walking away from the bus without even offering to help the fallen gentleman. Instead, she grabbed her son's hand and walked away. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department released footage of the fall earlier this week. Fournier's neighbor Trevor Taylor shared, "No matter what his age, she should not have done that. People need a little more patience than what they have these days."

    Thoughts with Serge's family. :(

Lawyers want murder charge tossed in Las Vegas bus-push case

Attorneys for a woman accused of pushing a 74-year-old man off a bus in March, leading to his death, said Wednesday they would ask the Nevada Supreme Court to throw out a first-degree murder charge.

Along with the murder of Serge Fournier, 25-year-old Cadesha Bishop faces one count of abuse of an older/vulnerable person resulting in death and battery resulting in substantial bodily harm of a victim 60 or older.

During a District Court hearing Wednesday, Judge Douglas Herndon refused to dismiss the murder count.

I hope the judge holds that position. Bishop is a dangerous woman!
