Young woman found shot to death - Scripps Ranch, San Diego area, CA *ARREST* **GUILTY PLEA**

    SDPD investigating fatal shooting in Scripps Ranch

    Police responded to reports of shots fired at 2:11 p.m. at the 9900 block of Old Grove Road, located just east of the 15 freeway and south of Canyon Road. Investigators confirmed that a woman in her twenties was found dead, having suffering multiple gun shot wounds.

    Police have identified the suspect as the victims husband, 30-year-old Jeremy Green. Green drives a silver 2007 Chevrolet Corvette with a black top and license plate number5YGE642.

    FOUND: Car belonging to man suspected of gunning down wife in Scripps Ranch

    SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) – On Tuesday, the silver Corvette police believe Jeremy Green sped away in after allegedly killing his wife on Saturday was found near the U.S.-Mexico border in a San Ysidro parking lot.

    New surveillance video shows a man, believed to be Jeremy Green, paying to park in a San Ysidro parking lot, according to police.

    Police found the Corvette at International Parking where attendants shared their surveillance video from Saturday, around 3:00 p.m., 50 minutes after the murder.

    "They were just looking for somebody to see if they parked in here for some homicide, something about a wife," said Michael Garcia, a Gateway Parking assistant.

    Suspected wife killer surrenders at border

    SAN DIEGO - A man suspected of gunning down his wife last weekend in Scripps Ranch surrendered to police Friday morning at the U.S.-Mexico border.

    At 1 a.m., 40-year-old Jeremy Green turned himself in to San Diego police at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. He was booked into the San Diego Jail in the murder of 37-year-old Tressa Green.

    According to San Diego police, Green fled to Mexico following the murder. Detectives tracked him to Cancun, established communication with him and convinced Green to turn himself in.

    Jeremy green arraigned in wife's murder

    SAN DIEGO (CBS 8) - A man accused of shooting his wife to death in Scripps Ranch made his first court appearance Monday.

    During Jeremy Green's arraignment, bail was set at $5 million. Green, 40, fled to Mexico after allegedly shooting and killing his 37-year-old wife Tressa Green Saturday, June 6 around 2:11 p.m. in the 9600 block of Business Park Ave., located just east of Interstate 15 and south of Canyon Road. His next court appearance is scheduled for June 24.

    During a 9:00 a.m. press conference Friday at the San Diego Police Department headquarters, Capt. David Nisleit said homicide detectives had been in contact with Jeremy Green for several days, working to facilitate his surrender.

    I can't get over how people profess their love and get married and then end up killing their spouse. I just don't get it and I never will!

    AN DIEGO (CBS 8) - On Tuesday, a former classmate who played in a heavy metal band with suspected killer Jeremy Green said he does not believe the fugitive will kill himself.The man spoke exclusively to CBS News 8 about his former best friend whom he met in high school at the San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts.

    Brandon lives in Skyline but asked not have last name used because of his friendship with the murder suspect Jeremy Green and with fellow band mates.

    Man pleads guilty to gunning down wife in Scripps Ranch

    SAN DIEGO – A Rancho Bernardo man has admitted to shooting and killing his estranged wife outside a marriage counseling session in Scripps Ranch in June.

    Jeremy Green, 40, pleaded guilty Wednesday in San Diego County Superior Court to one count of first-degree murder in the shooting death of 37-year-old Tressa Green. He will be sentenced to 35 years to life in prison. Green had initially plead not guilty.

    On the afternoon of June 6, Jeremy Green shot and killed Tressa Green in the parking lot of a business complex in the 9600 block of Business Park Avenue. Investigators learned that the couple had gotten into an argument just after leaving a marriage counseling session.

    Green will be sentenced on Dec. 11
