Bernard Madoff says he is dying and is asking a judge for compassionate release from prison, where he is serving 150 years for orchestrating the largest Ponzi scheme in history, according to a Wednesday federal court filing.

Madoff, 81, has terminal kidney failure and a life expectancy of less than 18 months. When the court sentenced him, “it was clear that Madoff’s 150-year prison sentence was symbolic for three reasons: retribution, deterrence, and for the victims,” the court filing states. “This Court must now consider whether keeping Madoff incarcerated … is truly in furtherance of statutory sentencing goals and our society’s value and understanding of compassion.”

Madoff said in the request for compassionate release that he “does not dispute the severity of his crimes.”

Police could only confirm the heads were being transported to be used for medical research. They couldn’t share any further details, as the case was still active.

Uhhhh... I can't imagine what moron stole them. I'm thinking meth related. Science equipment they thought they could use to make meth maybe. How did you like it when you opened the box?. Do you like stealing now?. But where are they now?. That's a disturbing thought. And if they dump them somewhere and the poor person who finds them.

Well this was in Denver.... Maybe it's one of those sacrifice kind of groups that abound in Colorado... ;)

Actually there is so little info and there are those doing research that would almost kill or bribe for body parts...

But yah, who knows, more likely meth or some idiots... But it doesn't seem like it was probably too serious of a careful transport... It sounds as if the neighbors wonder why the truck was even in their neighborhood or parked to begin with.... Did they hire like some laid off junky to transport heads and he stopped home or in his neighborhood to grab a sammich or see his side piece on the first day of the job...?

I have no reason to say any of this lol other than with the little information, one can only imagine...

Heads aren't kidneys or gold bars apparently. No iced chest? No Brinks armored truck?
