JOSHUA "JJ" VALLOW, TYLEE RYAN, TAMMY DAYBELL, & CHARLES VALLOW: State of Idaho/Arizona vs. Lori & Chad Daybell *GUILTY*

Police seem to be no closer to finding 7-year-old Joshua “JJ” Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan than they were when this story began months ago.

Since that time, the story has gained international attention as it’s taken twists and turns involving a purported cult, dead spouses, delusions of divinity and preparing for the end of the world. Despite all the angles, and the ever-growing number of people related to the case, the facts remain essentially the same as when it was first announced.

The two children remain missing and the parents, Lori (Vallow) Daybell, and her new husband, Chad Daybell, refuse to disclose their whereabouts to police. Both have been named persons of interest in the disappearance of the children. Law enforcement is also investigating the deaths of the Daybells’ previous respective spouses, Charles Vallow and Tammy Daybell, though neither Chad nor Lori have been named suspects in those cases.

I agree that the life insurance is big, but she wasn’t the one that took out the policy. Charles was. And he was a life insurance agent, so it wasn’t unusual.
That wouldn't mean much to me as a juror. Who took it out versus who knew about it and wanted it are two different things. She was upset plus lied sort of like she was raising five kids, went for it, said to Chad she'd still get the social security, defrauded them.

Also it wouldn't be unusual for a hub and wife to decide on life insurance or the wife to urge it even. That's how it was with us. We discussed how much (he dropped it later without telling me) that would at least pay the bills off if anything happened to either of us, plus one has to be able to afford the monthly premium (ours was that way anyhow).

She knew he couldn't get as much as her due to what was it, some kind of physical thing? So clearly she was up on it and part of it. Also, someone tried to hack into his account although I'm unsure if the jury has heard that in so many words...

I definitely think the jury needs to know about a pool party.
Yeah, and I don't think they have. I may have missed a few moments. I usually go back and watch but feed glitches, I haven't, but pretty sure that's never been said. I did hear the landlord and he was telling a cop about the pool party so perhaps it will come out with these last LE officers on the stand. I am getting confused on hearsay, usually I know. I THINK a cop can say what someone told them right? I am well aware of it generally but a big deal has been made in this case and as to what is relevant too. They SHOULD know, I mean that's seeming like a celebration... At first I thought they should have the landlord but then realized all he had was hearsay from the neighbors. THAT I know is hearsay.

Are you betting she puts on some defense or not? And takes the stand or not?

Yeah but it doesn't explain taking the wallet and the key card. Defrauding social security. Other things. Did they tell the jury she was also using Tylee's debit card I think it was, I can't recall. Oh no, they couldn't because that would be about the kids' deaths. Got that wrong.
She would say she needed it for the car keys. I am thinking the P just haven't nailed it yet IMO. Have they mentioned the SS? I don't think they can as that would mean discussing the kids murders too. The P are really hamstrung.

Maybe Summer will be crossed on it? She was supposed to be there right? They will just say it was for JJ as a distraction, when really they were celebrating thinking they had their hands on 2 million dollars.

What do the car keys have to do with the wallet and hotel key card? You lost me there.

Yes, the SS has been mentioned and an SS guy was on the stand about FRAUD. They can talk about the SS because she wanted it and got it after Charles died, nothing to do with the kids dying. The jury knows about this. Two jurors were even questioned as they were overheard talking of SS. She did NOT notify them when she remarried and kept collecting fraudulently, etc., etc. If I recall there was even a juror question or few of that witness. So yes, there's' been a lot on it, not about the kids being dead though. She (Lori) tried to defuse it saying or trying to that they did it wrong, mother and child benefit and child benefit or some such and half claimed she went into an SS office in Hawaii which is an outright lie I'm sure and asking him if he would know about that or if they screwed up. There was a lot on SS.

The P has no one left on their list but professionals/LE. Who knows if Lori would have her and Lori isn't going to want to bring up the pool party. It wouldn't be to her benefit.

I have to tell you I am back to wondering about a number of the family members. I used to and then I kind of got away from it but in being reminded of some things again.........

I will likely be near bedtime then before today ends.
My daughter is coming over probably around 4ish so I will miss the last about 1/2 of today most likely, if I can even catch the first half.

Yeah it runs late into the night/early a.m. for you. I'm thinking if the P gets done though, the judge may call the day early, hard to say. It may take the whole day for the last ones, no way to know really. Especially if Lori gets up with her inane questions lol.

Here is Nate's, East ID News. He says they worked all night fixing their tech stuff or resetting. I thought it was Court TV with some of the glitches because all had some of them but anyhow here is his, swears it will be not an issue today.

I had Scott's but not finding it now. I may post another one or two but that's it. There are PLENTY out there. Surviving the Survivor has it, lots of others.

She didn't need it to contact anyone. I dont know why anyone would buy that. Why wouldn't she have the same contacts? Her taking the phone and then later giving another story is a huge point imo.

Yeah she is so immortal LMAO.

I very much trust juries but no one seems to have much of a read on this one.

I would agree they haven't wrapped this all together yet for them.
She would not have any of his business contacts, for example, or his appointments calendar for her to contact blah blag blag blag. They would believe it all. They did for several months/years anyway till she began killing off the witnesses.

I thought so but it seems they were investigating with things being heard now. They did get the phone, etc. Didn't think things added up and wanted to see if they could get a case on her. Who knokws.

They are separated and seeing others, they have a heated relationship, not getting along, he ends up dead not planned and the first thing she worries about are his business contacts and appts.? Are you talking about LE buying it or jurors?

Well non existent for her anyhow. Yeah she is great at helping herself to the things of others, especially if they are dead.

You know I forget who but someone I watched said she's not helping herself by showing how she changes personalities depending on who she is questioning. I mean one time she's sweet almost, the next she is attacking because someone was dating Charles. Then she has been both nice to the judge but also almost combative with him complaining. Could hardly face Kay. All sorts of things including showing anger.

Well, I guess let's hope for a big finish to the P side. Some do seem worried about this jury, not sure why. Justin and his guy said they felt though that the jury was getting it yesterday so not all feel that way.

Let's hope there is no hung jury as we'd have to watch her yet AGAIN most likely. They are not going to acquit, that just rarely happens. Imo. The motives here are clear, that part is covered well. The timeline is a big one too, against Lori. So are texts. Calling 911 late is big. And she either lied about the time she left which we know she did or about seeing Charles shot. it is clear imo and should be to the jury this was not self defense but murder. Trying to think what else, but anyhow, they do have a LOT. Oh that she wanted Chad, was seeing someone herself.

You know, I don't know all the fine details and case law, etc. on such, but I am surprised the other murders couldn't come in, at LEAST Tammy's which shows they planned on getting rid of both spouses. They certainly relate to their overall plans so I'd just think logically such could come in but again I don't know the law well on it.
She is basically insane. And changes like a chameleon. The details about Chad and the killing of Tylee, JJ and Tammy are too prejudicial to be allowed in but that is all part of the motive and conspiracy, so it wont make sense without all that in the evidence. I don't know if they will bring in the life insurance as motive, which they would be free to do, but they haven't really made a big point about that IMO but perhaps they will in the summing up. I mean that should have come up as part of Kay's testimony but I don't remember if it did. I will have to go back and reread.

Because they didn't get Charles life insurance, they went to plan B, Tammy. So I am surprised that hasn't even come up, but again, too prejudicial but it is all linked.

Am I the only one who is questioning the lack of blood at the scene? Wouldn't there have been blood splatter from the first shot - at least??????
