Wells' disappearance was discovered when her friend arrived at the Pike Motel early on April 13 to meet Denise as they'd planned. The friend immediately filed a missing person report with Middlesex Township police. Her rented Plymouth Acclaim was found abandoned in a rural part of Perry County.
