The parents of a Kentucky woman last seen 10 days ago suspect foul play in her disappearance.

Crystal Rogers, 35, a mother of five, was last seen by her live-in boyfriend, Brooks Houck, on July 3, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

Houck has said he had nothing to with Rogers’ disappearance. He has been extremely cooperative with investigators, police said, and he took a polygraph test.

A Kentucky police officer has been fired for allegedly tampering with an investigation regarding the missing girlfriend of his brother, who has just been named the only suspect in her disappearance.

Crystal Rogers, 35, has been missing since July 3. Her boyfriend, Brooks Houck, has claimed the last time he saw the mother of five was the night before, playing games on her phone.

The only clue in Rogers disappearance was her maroon Chevy Impala, which was found unlocked and with a flat tire on Bluegrass Parkway on Saturday.

Inside were her keys, purse and uncharged phone.

I truly hope this is it, I pray that this is the time her family will get the answers they have been waiting for all these years. I can't imagine what her family must be feeling right now just knowing that the answers could be coming soon after so many times of having the rug pulled out from under them.

No updates in Crystal Rogers investigation after FBI was set to resume efforts this weekend

After signaling that efforts in the Crystal Rogers investigation would resume this weekend following a weather delay, the FBI remained quiet through Sunday.

It's not out of the norm for the FBI to go silent about its efforts in the investigation into Rogers’ disappearance. Earlier this week, however, investigative teams indicated they would resume efforts this weekend after they were forced to temporarily suspend work due to weather impacts from the remnants of Hurricane Ida.

It's likely there was some activity behind the scenes because of a statement sent to WLKY, in which a spokesperson for the FBI said personnel would be "conducting a search of the materials" that were recovered at the subdivision, but from an offsite collection point in Bardstown.

When asked if it was safe to assume that the FBI's time at Woodlawn Springs had wrapped up, the spokesperson it remains a day-to-day decision whether to return.

Mother of Crystal Rogers 'frustrated' at lack of movement in case

The signs throughout Nelson County are faded. So are the billboards asking for help to bring a missing mother home. But seven years after Crystal Rogers was last seen alive, there are still no answers.

"Who do I look to for help? I'm so disappointed in our justice system, so disappointed," Rogers' mother, Sherry Ballard, told WLKY Thursday.

"Every year, I'm like this is the year it's going to happen because that's what I'm led to believe. And then another year goes by with nothing," Ballard said.

But last year, seemed different. In August, FBI agents spent several days in a Bardstown subdivision where Houck had built several homes. And, they came away with two items of interest.

"The items they found, it was a very uplifting, exciting moment for everyone because we thought this is the answers. And I don't think that's going to work out," Ballard said.

This year and anniversary prove especially difficult because legally, she could have her daughter declared dead. And while she's said from the start she knew Crystal was gone she is not ready to put it on paper.

Ballard's focus remains on justice for Crystal and her husband, Tommy, who was murdered 16 months after their daughter's disappearance.

"With what happened with my daughter, it's one of the hardest things I've ever had to go through. But not having him, I live life every day just to get through, that's all I can say," Ballard said.

A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction. In a statement, the FBI told WLKY:

"As this week marks the seventh anniversary of the disappearance of Crystal Rogers, investigators from the FBI Louisville Field Office continue to work diligently to uncover all the facts of the case. We want nothing more than to bring a sense of closure to Crystal Rogers' family and the community of Bardstown. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank all those individuals who submitted tips to our office. This case will not come to its rightful conclusion without the contributions of the community itself."

Those with information can call the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.

From the article posted just above:

FBI Special Agent in Charge Jodi Cohen said, "they are working with the prosecutor's office to get this to a place where we can have a conclusion."

Ballard admits she is getting impatient.
"There's going to come a time where I say its time," she said. "It's time to move forward with what you've got and I just have to take my chances and move forward with that."

I get that and I think it in a lot of cases. There comes a point if victim's families have not had justice, just roll the dice with what you DO have, assuming they have something (in any case) and one should consider the family too, if they feel that way, then go for it.

I feel like that in the Abby and Libby case, if they aren't close, then in that one do the genetic testing/matching/research.

Perps are walking the streets otherwise and likely harming others. Jmo.
