The parents of a Kentucky woman last seen 10 days ago suspect foul play in her disappearance.

Crystal Rogers, 35, a mother of five, was last seen by her live-in boyfriend, Brooks Houck, on July 3, according to the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office.

Houck has said he had nothing to with Rogers’ disappearance. He has been extremely cooperative with investigators, police said, and he took a polygraph test.

A Kentucky police officer has been fired for allegedly tampering with an investigation regarding the missing girlfriend of his brother, who has just been named the only suspect in her disappearance.

Crystal Rogers, 35, has been missing since July 3. Her boyfriend, Brooks Houck, has claimed the last time he saw the mother of five was the night before, playing games on her phone.

The only clue in Rogers disappearance was her maroon Chevy Impala, which was found unlocked and with a flat tire on Bluegrass Parkway on Saturday.

Inside were her keys, purse and uncharged phone.

Sherry Ballard: ‘I just want to see my grandson’

For two years, Sherry Ballard has fought a quiet battle to see her grandson.

“I’ve been quiet because the courts asked me to,” Ballard said. “Now, they have backed me into a corner and I refuse to be quiet anymore.”

It’s been two years since Ballard last saw her grandson and on Saturday her supporters rallied in front of the Nelson County Justice Center. Nearly 200 people lined the street on both sides in front of the center, chanting and holding signs while cars honked their horns in support as they passed by.
I can hardly bear to read this! The sad part is that her grandson's mind might very well be poisoned, as happens even in divorce situations. :(

FBI continues to uncover new information in Crystal Rogers case

Crystal Rogers has been missing for six years this month. For six years her family has searched, prayed, fought for answers.

Rogers was reported missing on Fourth of July weekend, 2015.

This week the FBI provided WHAS11 with this update on the investigation:

"As the sixth anniversary of the disappearance of Crystal Rogers approaches, FBI Louisville remains steadfast in its investigation. Our investigators continue to uncover information and are working diligently to piece together what truly happened on July 3, 2015. The FBI will continue to use all available resources to bring this investigation to an appropriate conclusion."

There will be a prayer vigil for Rogers' at St. Thomas Parish in Bardstown Wednesday July 7 at 7:30.

6 years after her disappearance, FBI says it's in final stages of Crystal Rogers investigation

The Fourth of July weekend is never easy for the family of Crystal Rogers.

"These things are so hard on me and the kids and we just need justice so we can learn how to move on and learn how to go forward," Sherry Ballard, Crystal Rogers' mother, said.

Last year, the FBI took over the investigation into Rogers' disappearance, and came into Bardstown with a show of force, serving search warrants and conducting interviews.

The FBI says they are now in the final stages of their investigation.

"You know he said that they're closing up and I do think that's happening," Ballard said. "I've even told them that if things don't happen this year, I'm going to be so disappointed."

The FBI continues to ask for tips, saying no tip is too small. The family is also offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

Does anyone know if there has been any identification of the body found during the FBI investigation? I can't find any updates other than this one that gives a forensic analysis of the body. I really hope there are answers for the family soon it has been way too long of not knowing what happened to her.

still unidentified

Over the last few months, according to the FBI, they have utilized the Combined DNA Index System, or CODIS, to identify the remains, but a match was not found.

According to the Home Owners' Association, Woodlawn Springs is a 250-acre residential community that includes nearly 280 homes. The subdivision is located between Bluegrass Parkway and U.S. 62., near Dean Watts Park.
Documents from the Nelson County PVA show that Houck Rentals LLC owns three homes in the Woodlawn Springs subdivision. Brooks Houck, Rogers' boyfriend and the main suspect in her disapperance, is listed as the registered agent for Houck Rentals.

Here's what we know about missing Kentucky mom Crystal Rogers and the FBI investigation

Federal agents reportedly were using a cadaver dog to search the subdivision this week. And a Courier Journal photographer saw investigators Tuesday using a jackhammer on the driveway of a home.

By Wednesday afternoon, the driveway was reportedly dug up, as agents appeared to be zeroed in on the location. Large chunks of the driveway were hauled out of the neighborhood on the back of a construction truck, WHAS reported.

As for how long law enforcement officials will continue this latest round of searches, an FBI Louisville spokesman said the "ultimate timeline will be dependent on what is found" and that agents will "be there as long as it takes."

No arrests have been made in connection with the disappearance of Rogers.

"I don't think they would just randomly pick a driveway unless they had a reason to do that," Rogers' mother, Sherry Ballard, told WHAS this week. "When my daughter went missing, Brooks was building in that neighborhood."

Ballard also told the television station she thinks the chances of finding her daughter have become better.

"I'm ready to bring my daughter home," Ballard reportedly said. "I'm ready for that."

I’m ready for Sherry’s daughter to be found, too. Sherry needs peace in finding Crystal! 🙏
