This 8-year-old Tri-Cities boy was last seen 9 months ago. Have you seen him?

Police are asking for help finding an 8-year-old Pasco boy who hasn’t been seen for nine months.

The last time police officers saw Edgar Casian, 8, was Sept. 21 after his mother asked them to check on her three children, she told the Tri-City Herald on Tuesday.

Maria Quintero said she has called police and Washington state Child Protective Services several times after her ex-boyfriend took custody of their son and two daughters, Briseida, 9, and Luna, 3,

Now all she wants to know is where her son is after learning that the girls were found in Tijuana, Mexico, in what police called “alarmingly dangerous conditions.”

The father’s mother was caring for the kids in the Tri-Cities after Quintero was arrested, jailed and eventually deported to Mexico for being an undocumented immigrant.

Even after she returned to the U.S. in 2019, her children stayed with their grandmother.

Before the COVID pandemic, Quintero traveled from California to Portland to see her kids and their grandmother for visits. The last time she saw them was in February 2020.

The following month, the children’s father demanded custody of the children and the grandmother handed them over, said Quintero.

Since then, Quintero said she’s been concerned about their well-being.

She called police and Washington state Child Protective Services to have them checked on, but both agencies said they couldn’t take the kids from their father.

She felt her concerns weren’t taken seriously until she recently received a call from police asking where the children were since their father claimed the kids were with her.

Then she learned her daughters were found in Mexico and were being returned to the U.S.

Not sure why little Edgar isn't getting much attention in the media... All adults who were supposed to look after him have been accounted for and he is still missing. His two siblings have been located for in dangerous conditions, with no sign of him. And he hasn't been seen for 9 months!

Because his family is Mexican? Because he may have been taken to Mexico? I don't get it. Keep looking for updates, but nothing.

BREAKING: Police issue arrest warrant for father and girlfriend of 8 Year missing Pasco Boy, Edgar Casian

Pasco Detectives have issued an arrest warrant for Edgar Salvador Casian Garcia and his girlfriend Aracely Media, also known as Aracely Tapia, following Garcia’s 8 year old son Edgar Casian’s disappearance in September.

Police are looking to book the couple for assault of a child in the first degree after Edgar’s sisters ages 9 and 3 were found wandering the streets of Tijuana Mexico under what police call “alarmingly dangerous circumstances.”

As the search for 8 year old Edgar Casian continues, Pasco detectives tell NBC Right Now, Edgar Salvador Casian Garcia and his girlfriend Aracely Media are prime suspects in his disappearance and are known to have ties to Mexico.

Police are currently working with the FBI, U.S Marshals and the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children to find Edgar Casian.

Washington Girl, 9, Found in Mexico Unable to Eat or Walk; Her Brother Is Still Missing

The father and stepmother of a missing 8-year-old Pasco boy are now charged with torturing his 9-year-old sister in their Tri-Cities apartment.

Arrest warrants have been issued for Edgar Casian-Garcia, 32, and Araceli Medina, 37, on felony charges of first-degree assault of a child. Bail has been set at $500,000 for each.

They have not been seen since the 9-year-old and her 3-year-old sister were found in Mexico two months ago and were initially questioned by police.

Their dad and stepmom now are accused of a pattern of abuse that led the 9-year-old girl and her 3-year-old sister to flee from a hotel room in Tijuana, Mexico, according to a Pasco police report.

The girls later told Mexican and U.S. authorities they had been sexually trafficked and physically abused.

When the girls were found alone in May by Mexican authorities, the older girl was in a wheelchair and wasn't able to eat, walk or use the restroom by herself. Court documents filed in Franklin County Superior Court claim she had boiling water poured on her legs when she was in Pasco.

The 9-year-old girl told police that while she was living in the Chapel Hill Boulevard apartment in Pasco with her father and stepmother in fall 2020, they tied her up in the bathroom on several occasions, according to documents filed in Franklin County Superior Court.

While she was confined to the bathroom, they poured boiling water on her, burning her legs and hands, said the documents. They also forced her face under water, say investigators.

A medical exam after she was found in Mexico showed multiple large scars and patches of scars that are consistent with child abuse, said officials.

"The doctor described some as being consistent with liquid burns, others more consistent with lacerations and others consistent with whipping or hitting with a physical object," according to court records

Mexican child welfare authorities and the U.S. Consulate said the girls were sexually trafficked and assaulted after being taken to Mexico by their father and stepmother, according to court records.

After the girls were found in May 2021 in Mexico, police interviewed their dad and stepmother in Pasco. They claimed the girls had been taken by state Child Protective Services in September or October, according to court records.

The girls' mother, Quintero, told police she believes her ex-husband and Medina took the kids to Tijuana and left them there because they were convinced they were not his children.

The Search For Missing Pasco Boy Continues; Father and Stepmom Wanted for Felony Child Abuse

Edgar Casian remains missing since November when Mexican authorities first found his sisters deserted in Tijuana-without Edgar. He wasn't deemed officially missing by Pasco police until May when police became aware of the case and that the children were from Pasco. Now, father Edgar Casian-Garcia Senior and his girlfriends Araceli Medina, are prime suspects in Edgar's disappearance as well as in the abuse his sisters endured.

"The girls are back safely in Pasco and are doing surprisingly well considering everything they've been through." said Detective Jon Davis, detective from Pasco Police Department assigned to the case.

Edgar Jr.'s mother, Maria Quintero, spoke with us pleading that if anyone had any information on the whereabouts of Edgar Sr., his girlfriend Araceli, or Edgar Jr., to please contact Pasco Police.

Thanks for the article, @kdg411
This has NOT been confirmed as Edgar but he is mentioned as a possibility in the article.

Bones found by hikers in rural Benton County identified as a missing child

Human bones discovered by hikers in rural Benton County Feb. 5 have been identified as those of a child reported missing in 2021.

Detectives are working with agencies involved in the case to notify the child’s family, according to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.

And although the identity of the child has not been made public, Pasco police issued an alert in 2021 for Edgar Casian, then 8 years old.

3 weeks after a child’s bones were found near Tri-Cities, little is known about the death
It’s been three weeks since the bones of a child were found, apparently in a shallow grave, in rural Benton County.

Investigators say they know it’s a kid who disappeared last year but it could be months before they know how the child died.

And for now officials haven’t said who the child is or revealed information about the investigation.

While the child’s family has been notified, the name hasn’t been released to the public.

And Coroner Bill Leach said the investigation into how the child died could take months.

A nationwide extraditable warrant. I wonder what efforts they can make as far as if they are in Mexico. Posters, police or government assistance in locating them, news? Or can they do little?
