A new book is set to reveal devastating details about a deadly love triangle that led to the murder of a marine's pregnant wife after her lover dumped her body at the bottom of a desert mine.
Erin Corwin was just 19-years-old when she was strangled in Joshua Tree, California by Christopher Brandon Lee, 27, shortly after the pair embarked on an illicit affair.
They had been neighbors on the Marine base in Twentynine Palms, Calif., where Lee, who worked alongside Erin's husband Jon, lived with his wife Nichole and their six-year-old daughter Liberty.
The two couples quickly became friends after newlyweds Erin and Jon moved to the site in September 2013. But it was a friendship that would go on to cost Erin her life, new book, 'Secrets of a Marine's Wife' reveals.

Thank you for viewing this thread about Erin Corwin. Having chatted with her mom many times, it is important to me that we still have a thread on our site to remember Erin.
Erin was a naive young woman, which is what drew her into a relationship with her killer. I wish we could turn back the clock and save her from the loneliness that must have moved her to make such a fatal mistake.
Erin loved horses and the color purple. And, of course, her dear mom. Please pray for her family as they continue to move forward without Erin.
Thank you all!
Remembering Erin Corwin ~ a life ended way too soon
Her body was found in the bottom of a mine shaft after being killed by someone she thought was in love with her.
