SULLIVAN COUNTY, Tenn. (WATE) — The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an AMBER Alert Wednesday night for a missing toddler out of Sullivan County.
The TBI asking for the public’s help in locating 15-month-old Evelyn Mae Boswell.
According to the TBI, Evelyn Boswell was reportedly last seen on December 26, 2019. She was not reported as a missing child until February 18.
If you have seen Evelyn, please call the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office at 423-279-7330 or the TBI at 1-800-TBI-FIND.

It merited an Amber Alert apparently after all of this time. I have learned different states have different criteria I think which surprised me but generally it means they have a vehicle, a suspect, or something like that.

I too hope it is a custody thing and she is safe.

True. I guess I am assuming it as in some other cases. Never thought of foster care. Someone though didn't report it. Or someone thought she was with someone she wasn't. Two months between last time seen though. I don't know if I have ever seen an Amber Alert that far in for dates since last seen.

Part of the article above, still just absorbing this:

"According to the TBI, Evelyn Boswell was reportedly last seen on December 26, 2019. She was not reported as a missing child until February 18.

Evelyn was last seen wearing a pink tracksuit, pink shoes, and a pink bow."

The 26th was the day after Christmas, just a thought, was she seen by someone for Christmas like a grandparent, and they are realizing they have not seen her since and getting the runaround from a parent of hers? They also have what she was last seen wearing. Does that mean on the 26th?

In Amiah's case, the boyfriend kept taunting the gf about Amiah's whereabouts and she did not report it. In JJ's case, the end of world couple in Hawaii, it was a grandparent wasn't it that asked for a welfare check?

Just thoughts, not that they help the poor child.

Here is one just a bit different. It says late November/early December so the dates would be different. It also said family members have not seen her since then. And I believe it said that the parents are involved in the investigation (but leaves it unclear what that means, helping out or being looked at?).

It seems to be odd like they are just giving the news to the media today? And news is still getting details?

According to NewsChannel 11 WJHL, Evelyn hadn't been seen by “certain family members” in the past two months.

Authorities say "The child’s mother, Megan “Maggie” Boswell, has been involved in the investigation along with the father, Ethan Perry, who is active duty in the military, stationed in Louisiana.”

Oh, this doesn't sound good at all now.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has issued a statewide AMBER Alert for 15-month-old Evelyn Boswell from Sullivan County.

Evelyn Boswell is 24 inches tall and weighs 28 pounds. She also has blonde hair and blue eyes, and was last seen wearing a pink tracksuit, pink shoes and a pink bow.

The sheriff's office was notified on Tuesday by the State of Tennessee Department of Children's Services. Evelyn "was last seen by certain family members near the end of November 2019 and the first of December 2019."

The TBI said the child was reportedly last seen on Dec. 26, 2019 and wasn't reported missing until Tuesday, Feb. 18.

The child's mother and father are involved in the investigation. Boswell’s mom, Megan Boswell, is at the family’s home in Tennessee. Her dad is a service member on active duty stationed in Louisiana.

This article states that Tennessee Department of Children's Services notified the sheriff's office she was missing.
I'm not sure what that means...Maybe Evelyn was in foster care or DCS was doing home visits and hadn't seen her since the last visit with no good explanation from whomever her guardian is.
Regardless, this beautiful girl has been gone for 2 months and that's extremely scary!

Rumor has it the grandparents asked for help to find her. Allegedly the mother kept telling people she was with someone else and at a point could not keep straight what she had told to who. Again, just rumor/comment but it does fit the few facts we have.

Sounds similar to other cases that didn't end well for the Child. I don't remember the exact cases. But just one case the mother said she left the girl with a babysitter they couldn't prove exsisted. Was years ago. Girl is still missing.
